Práce se věnuje problematice volného času v době dovolené v meziválečném období. Hlavní zájem se soustředí zejména na fenomén letních bytů, jeho charakter, vnímání ve společnosti a specifické postavení ve vztahu k volnému času. Práce nesleduje pouze letní byty, které fungovaly jako symbol dobrého postavení a těšily se značné popularity mezi střední třídou, ale rovněž tramping a zárodky chataření, které tak dokreslují prvorepublikovou atmosféru a dobové postoje k volnočasovým, převážně letním aktivitám. Klíčová slova: Životní styl, volný čas, letní byty, tramping, chataření This thesis is devoted to leisure time during interwar time (1918-1938). The main interest concentrates on phenomenon of visiting summer apartments and his character, perception in society and specific relationship to leisure time. Summer apartments were symbol of good status and were very popular among the middle class, but thesis is also dedicated to tramping and beginning of living at the cottage because of specific atmosphere of Czechoslovak republic in 1918-1938.
