S pojmem zaujetí se běžně setkáváme v pedagogické literatuře - většinou v negativní podobě (žáci zaujatí nejsou). Proto jsme se zaměřili na prověření žákovského zaujetí v matematice. Pomocí dotazníkového šetření jsme u žáků dvou 9. tříd ZŠ mapovali dlouhodobé motivační charakteristiky a situační motivaci před a po zadání matematického úkolu. Zajímalo nás, s kterými motivačními proměnnými souvisí žákovské zaujetí úkolem a zda se u žáků mění zaujetí před úkolem a při vypracovávání úkolu. Ověřovali jsme vazby mezi zaujetím v úkolu a poznávací motivací, výkonovou motivací, flow prožitkem, chutí úkol vypracovat, aktivitou v úkolu, významem a oblibou matematiky. Naše výsledky naznačují, že se zaujetí u žáků v průběhu plnění úkolu nemění. Naší hypotézu týkající se vazeb mezi zaujetím a vybranými motivačními proměnnými se nám z větší části prokázat nepodařilo. Výzkumem se potvrdila pouze vazba mezi zaujetím, chutí úkol vypracovat, pozitivní výkonovou motivací ve škole a významem matematiky. Naše výsledky neprokázaly, že by zaujetí v matematice mělo vazby na ukazatele kvality práce (žáci, kteří byli zaujatí, nebyli v řešení úkolu lepší, nebyli aktivnější a neměli větší flow motivaci). Zaujetí v matematice se pravděpodobně váže spíše na pozitivní emocionální prožívání při práci na úkolu, které však samo o... The concept of engagement can be commonly found in educational literature - mostly in its negative form (pupils are not engaged). Therefore, we focused on the examination of pupils'engagement in mathematics. Using the questionnaire survey in two classes (9th grade) of primary school, we were mapping long-term motivational charakteristics of pupils and their situational motivation before and after perfoming mathematical task. What we were interested in was which motivational variables are related to pupils'engagement by task and whether their engagement has changed before and after performing the task. We tested the links among the engagement by task and cognitive motivation, achievement motivation, flow experience, taste to perform the task, activity in the task and the importance and popularity of mathematics. Our results suggest, that the pupils' engagement does not change during the task. Major part of our hypothesis related to the links among engagement and selected motivational variables was not proved. Research has only revealed the links among the engagement, the taste to perform the task, positive school achievement motivation and the importance of mathematics.
