slo Abstract:
[eng][cze] This bachelor thesis focuses on St. Wenceslas's millennium, which means to put in remembrance religious, cultural and political meaning of St. Wenceslas. The most intensive celebrations took place in the last September decade of 1929. The pivotal theme of the work is a response to the main celebrations in the Czech daily press. There is not of course forgotten St. Wenceslas's tradition development, millennium preparations or other events linked to St. Wenceslas's anniversary. These problematics were processed just partially in minor literature and that is why the author wants to make use of it in her analysis of historic sources. So she concentrates on historic press. Although the publications, which originated in connection with the millennium, or the ones that address St. Wenceslas do not escape her attention, too.
