Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu informační politiky Evropské unie. Sleduje její vývoj, principy a strategické plány od počátku 21. století až po současnost. Cílem diplomové práce je charakterizovat a zhodnotit uplynulé i aktuální informatizační programy Evropské unie. Popsána je Lisabonská strategie, která byla prvním významným dokumentem, jenž definoval směřování Evropské unie. Další část textu se zabývá akčními plány eEurope 2002 a eEurope 2005 a na ně navazující iniciativou i2010. Hlavní pozornost je pak věnována aktuálnímu programu Evropa 2020. It is focused on the development, principles and strategic plans from the beginning of the 21st century to the present. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and evaluate the past and current information programs of the European Union. The thesis describes the Lisbon Strategy which was the first major document that defined the direction of the European Union.
