Diplomová práce "Regulace médií a její reprezentace v českém tisku v letech 1991-2011" se ve své teoretické části zabývá právní regulací médií v České republice, a to konkrétně tří hlavních mediálních sektorů - tisku, rozhlasového a televizního vysílání a internetu. Definuje základní legislativní normy z oblasti mediálního práva a rozebírá nejdůležitější instituty, včetně činnosti regulačních orgánů. Dále se práce zabývá komparací české právní úpravy s úpravou regulace médií ve vybraných zahraničních zemích. Jejich výběr a rozdělení se opírá o tři mediální systémy podle definic v knize Systémy médií v postmoderním světě autorů Daniela C. Hallina a Paola Manciniho. Druhá část práce je věnována praktické analýze obsahu vybraných českých deníků MF Dnes a Právo z období od roku 1991 do 2011. Excerpovaný materiál se dotýká regulace vysílacích a tištěných médií. Autor se přitom snaží o vyvození závěrů, jak média přistupují k regulaci médií a zda akcentování určitých témat spojených s regulací médií může mít vliv na změnu mediální legislativy. Konkrétně se pak zaměřuje na návrh nových mediálních zákonů, jako je tiskový zákon a zákon o provozování rozhlasového a televizního vysílání, které jsou v analyzovaných denících podrobovány značné kritice. The thesis "Media Regulation and its Representation in Czech Newspapers from 1991 until 2011" concerns in its theoretical part with legal regulation of media in the Czech Republic, in particular with regulation of three basic media sectors - press, radio and television broadcasting and internet. It defines basic statutes in the scope of media law and analyzes the most important legal provisions, including the activity of regulatory bodies. Furthermore, the thesis compares the Czech regulation of media with regulation in selected foreign countries. Their selection and categorization is based on three media systems as defined in the book of Daniel C. Hallin and Paolo Mancini "Comparing Media Systems". In the second part, the thesis concerns with practical analysis of media content of two Czech dailies MF Dnes and Právo in the period from 1991 until 2011. The analysis deals with articles which are somehow connected to the issue of broadcasting and press media regulation. It tries to deduce how the dailies present media regulation and if emphasizing of particular topics could influence legislative acts regulating media.
