Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou dětského čtenářství a srovnává přístup k jeho podpoře v České republice a německy mluvících zemích. Úvodní část práce se věnuje dětskému čtenářství v současné době, faktorům, které jej ovlivňují a čtenářským zájmům dnešních dětí. Stručně hodnotí také současnou českou literaturu pro děti a její nakladatele. Následující dvě kapitoly popisují aktivity k podpoře dětského čtenářství, které vyvíjejí české knihovny i neknihovnické subjekty. Další oddíl představuje projekty k podpoře dětského čtenářství realizované v Rakousku a Německu, krátce seznamuje také s programy dalších německy mluvících zemí. Šestá kapitola stručně nastiňuje tematiku podpory dětského čtenářství v českých i zahraničních médiích. Práci doplňují dva praktické průzkumy. První porovnává aktivity vybraných českých a zahraničních knihoven a jejich příspěvek k podpoře dětského čtenářství. Druhý průzkum realizovaný mezi dětskými čtenáři Ústřední knihovny Městské knihovny v Praze hodnotí spokojenost dětí s nabízenými tematickými besedami pro školní třídy. Závěr práce shrnuje získané poznatky a rekapituluje problematiku podpory dětského čtenářství. The diploma thesis concentrates on the children's reading issues, and compares the approach to its support in the Czech Republic and the German speaking countries. The introductory part is devoted to the current children's reading, the factors that influence it, and reading interests of today's children. It also evaluates the contemporary Czech children's literature and its publishers. The following two chapters describe the activities for the children's reading support that are developed by Czech libraries and non-librarian entities. The next part introduces the projects for the children's reading support implemented in Austria and Germany; it also shortly describes the programs of other German speaking countries. The sixth chapter briefly outlines the subject matter of the children's reading support in both Czech and foreign media. There are two surveys attached to the thesis. The first compares the activities of selected Czech and foreign libraries, and their contribution to the children's reading support. The second survey, implemented among the children readers of the Central Library of the Municipal Library in Prague, evaluates the children's satisfaction with the offered thematic discussions for the school classes.
