The new type of passive tuned liquid damper (TLD), which relies on the motion of liquid inside a movable rectangular tank with two degrees of freedom (horizontal displacement and rotation).The authors study the influence of vessel horizontal motion of and rotation on the damping of the vertical and horizontal vibrations of the footbridges. Autoři studují v tomto příspěvku vliv otáčení nádob na tlumení svislých pohybů lávky, jejíž základní frekvence svislého a vodorovného kmitání jsou velmi blízké. Teoretické řešení vychází z řešení rovnice kontinuity a z rovnic Nawier-Stokesových. Tlumení pohybem kapaliny má dvě složky: horizontální a vertikální. Experimentální řešení spočívá ve stanovení velikosti budící síly vibračního stolu potřebné za rezonance při harmonickém buzení nádoby jejíž rozměry odpovídají rozměrům okrajového nosníku lávky.
