Gastroodpady jsou problematickou skupinou odpadů vzhledem k jejich vlastnostem a způsobům, jak mohou být zpracovávány. V teoretické části této práce je obsažen souhrn legislativy týkající se nakládání s gastroodpady v České republice. Je zde také zjišťována jejich produkce ve státech Evropské unie a v České republice a prověřovány způsoby nakládání s nimi. V praktické části jsou zpracovány výsledky vlastního průzkumu a také příklady firem zabývajících se sběrem gastroodpadů. V závěru jsou navržena doporučení změn v nakládání s gastroodpady. Food wastes are problematic group of wastes due to their properties and the ways how they can be processed. The theoretical part of this work contained a summary of legislation relating to the disposal of food wastes in the Czech Republic. There is also investigated their production the European Union and the Czech Republic and there are tested ways of dealing with them. Practical part presents the results of our own research and examples of companies engaged in the collection of food wastes. In conclusion, this study suggests recommendations of changes in the treatment of food wastes.
