Příspěvek se věnuje interpretaci zobrazení sopečné erupce v českém moderním umění 19. a první poloviny 20. století, a to zejména v kresbách a obrazech Josefa Führicha, Václava Mánesa a Jindřicha Štyrského. The paper analyses the meanings behind the depiction of volcanic eruptions in modern Czech art of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, particularly in drawings and paintings by Josef Führich, Václav Mánes and Jindřich Štyrský.
