Bakalářská práce se skládá z překladu kapitoly The hungerstrikes 1980-81 z populárně naučné monografie Making Sense of the Troubles od autorů Davida McKittricka a Davida McVeaho a z odborného komentáře tohoto překladu. První část komentáře tvoří překladatelská analýza originálu na jednotlivých rovinách textu. Druhá část se věnuje charakteristice překladatelských problémů na daných rovinách a vytvoření překladatelské koncepce. Ve třetím oddíle je popsána celková metoda překladu a strategie řešení zmíněných překladatelských problémů. Komentář uzavírá typologie posunů, k nimž při překladu došlo. The thesis contains a translation of the chapter The hungerstrikes 1980-81 from the book Making Sense of the Troubles by David McKittrick and David McVea and a commentary on the translation. The first part of the commentary includes a translation analysis of the source text on different levels. The second part consists of a typology of translation problems on those levels and an overall approach to translation. The third chapter describes the translation method and specific strategies for dealing with the outlined translation problems. The commentary is concluded by a typology of translation shifts.
