Předložená diplomová práce je založená na empirickém výzkumu a zabývá se historií, vývojem a současnými chovatelskými trendy v akvaristice. Teoretická část je zaměřena na kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu odborné související literatury. Charakterizována je zde historie a vývoj akvaristiky ve světě i u nás a je srovnávána technika a postupy minulé a současné akvaristiky. V práci jsou uvedeny a charakterizovány současné chovatelské trendy moderní akvaristiky. Text je doplněn dobovými nákresy a schématy historického a současného vybavení a techniky. Výzkumná část je zaměřena na získaná data kvantitativní obsahovou analýzou akvaristických publikací, kde je sledována frekvence zmínek v textu o jednotlivých druzích akvarijních ryb. Současně jsou zde výsledky obsahové analýzy srovnány se statistickými údaji akvaristických portálů zaměřených na reálné chovatelské preference akvaristů. Z výsledků vyplývá, že v každém ze zkoumaných období autoři ve svých článcích upřednostňovali některé z vybraných čeledí. Nejčastěji byla upřednostňována čeleď vrubozubcovití, tetrovití a kaprovití. Současně však ale některé často prezentované druhy akvarijních ryb nekorelují s reálnými chovatelskými preferencemi akvaristů. Platí ale, že většinu nejčastěji chovaných druhů akvarijních ryb tvoří skupina klidných a mírumilovných... History, development, and present breeding trends in aquaristics The presented diploma thesis is based on empirical research, and deals with the history, development, and current trends in aquaristics. The theoretical part is focused on qualitative content analysis of relevant specialized literature. This thesis defines history and development of aquaristics in the world, as well as in our country, and compares current and past aquarium equipment and methods. In this work are presented and described current trends in modern aquaristics. The text is complemented by contemporary drawings and layouts of historical and recent equipment and technology. The research part is focused on data obtained from quantitative content analysis of aquarium publications, where is observed frequency of mentions in the text of particular species of aquarium fish. At the same time the results are compared with the content analysis of statistical data of aquaristics portals aimed at the real preferences of breeders. From the conclusion results that in their articles the authors preferred some of the selected families in each of the examined periods. Most preferred family was Cichlidae, Characidae and Cyprinidae.
