Univerzita Karlova v Praze Filozofická fakulta Katedra teorie kultury (kulturologie) Obecná teorie a dějiny umění a kultury Marie Sternová Vůdčí osobnosti a lokální kultura v regionech ČR Leading Figures and Local Culture in Czech Regions Teze Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Vladimír Czumalo, CSc. 2011 PŘEDMĚT PRÁCE Tato disertační práce se zabývá problematikou funkčního propojení lokální kultury a v ní se vyskytujících vůdčích osobností, zástupců elit, kteří mají na udržování a rozvíjení lokální kultury klíčový vliv. Pokusíme se mimo jiné dokázat, že vůdčí osobnost jakožto kulturní elita není jen vědecký a ideologický konstrukt, který se při snaze vyhledat konkrétního představitele této elity rozpadá (Zich, 2003, s.60). Pro účel této práce jsme zvolili dva modelové regiony, které by měly díky své geografické i kulturněhistorické svébytnosti značně přispět k objasnění úlohy vůdčích osobností v lokální kultuře: Chodsko je bezesporu jedním z nejosobitějších regionů České republiky, který si přese všechny dějinné a politické zvraty zachoval svou jedinečnost. Chodský spisovatel a sběratel folklóru Jindřich Šimon Baar (1869-1925) pak beze zbytku představuje typického zástupce místní elity - duchovního vůdce regionu. Stejně tak Šumava je regionem, přes který se historické i nacionální bouře přehnaly, aniž by na jeho svérázu... Dissertation thesis Leading Figures and Local Culture in Czech Regions presents a comparative analysis of two original Czech regions, Chodsko and the Bohemian Forest, and their spiritual leaders, Jindřich Šimon Baar and Karel Klostermann. Main part of the thesis consists of analysis of life, work and contribution of these local icons in context of the geographical, historical and cultural aspects of regions concerned. Emphasis is placed on the specifics of local folk literature, folklore and material culture. The theoretical part is complemented by deep research in both regions, in the form of a questionnaire completed by hundred students, which answers questions regarding their involvement in folk life and experience of their regional identity.
