Ve své práci jsem se snažil přispět k diskuzi ohledně možného slohového východiska Puchnerovy archy. V kapitole pojednávající právě o stylovém charakteru Mistra Puchnerovy archy jsem vyjádřil souhlas s Pešinovou premisou ohledně malířova kolínského původu. Proto jsem věnoval celou jednu, dosti podrobnou, kapitolu tamějšímu vývoji. Její záběr jsem uchopil již od doby internacionální gotiky, přes důležitý výstup Stefana Lochnera, po malbu charakterizovanou silným nizozemským akcentem. Důvod proč jsem popisoval také poměrně raný vývoj kolínské produkce, sahající ještě do počátku století, spočívá v tom, aby bylo zřetelné, jak tato vrstva velmi výrazně ovlivňuje kolínskou produkci ještě hluboko v druhé polovině století. Ať se přitom jedná o kompozice draperií, výstavbu figury, tendenci k negaci prostoru nebo zálibu v lyrickém pojetí výjevů. A právě v tomto ohledu si je tamější vývoj velice blízký s českým, kde se charakteristické rysy krásného slohu projevují také nevídaně dlouho. Avšak s Pešinovým, a posléze většinou badatelů přejímaným, názorem ohledně malířova původu v dílně Mistra Lyversbergovy pašije již souhlasit nemohu. Snažil jsem komparací jednotlivých stylových forem a celkového charakteru malířského projevu obou malířů prokázat, že jejich bližší umělecký vztah je spíše nepravděpodobný. Naopak, opět na... The thesis deals with the influences of Flemish realism on late Gothic panel painting in Bohemia; more specifically, it focuses mainly on the well-known altarpiece of Grand Master Puchner. The altarpiece is considered one of the earliest and also purest examples of the influence of Flemish realism in Bohemia. Experts agree there was no direct contact, the influence was mediated through neighboring areas. As to through which areas, experts differ in their opinions. However, the question of where the style of the altarpiece comes from gets the most attention in the thesis. Based on the comparison of styles the thesis claims that the main inspiration for the painter of the Prague altarpiece came from Cologne, from the workshop of the Master of the Lyversberg Passion in particular.
