Mláďata potkana se rodí s nezralou centrální nervovou soustavou, stupeň zralosti odpovídá prenatálnímu stadiu vývoje člověka. Postupné zrání nervové soustavy se odráží ve změnách motorického chování. Tato práce přináší chronologický přehled motorického vývoje potkana, zahrnující vývoj senzomotoriky, posturální kontroly, lokomoce a plavání. Dále uvádí některé metody hodnocení motorických schopností potkanů a diskuzi vnitřních a vnějších faktorů, které ovlivňují průběh motorické ontogeneze. Gradual maturation of the nervous system manifests in a changing motor behaviour. Here we review the chronology of motor development in the rat, including ontogeny of sensorimotor reactions, postural control, ground locomotion and swimming. The aim of the thesis is also to take inventory of methods for assesing the motor development in rats. Important intrinsic and extrinsic factors in the ontogeny of motor behaviour are discussed.
