Součástí bloku otázek týkajících se plýtvání potravinami byla i část, která se zabývala nákupem vzhledově ne zcela dokonalého ovoce a zeleniny. Dotázaní se konkrétně vyjadřovali k tomu, které potraviny by si při možnosti volby vybrali - zda dokonalé, méně dokonalé nebo zda by vůbec nad vzhledem vybrané zeleniny či ovoce uvažovali. Dále vybírali hlavní důvod pro tuto volbu. Posledním bodem pak byl jejich odhad podílu vyhozených potravin z důvodu vzhledových nedokonalostí vůči celkové produkci. Výzkum probíhal v termínu od 3. do 20. června 2016. In June 2016 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to purchase of fruits and vegetables with imperfect appearance. Respondents specifically expressed whether they would buy perfect or less perfect vegetables or fruits. Further, they chose the main reason for this choice. The last point was then the estimate of the proportion of discarded food to visual imperfections in relation to total production.
