Abstrakt: The aim of this work have been to develop method of determination of biomass concentration of cells immobilized on inorganic carrier, based on measuring of 3D-fluorescence spectra. A model bacteria strain was Pseudomonas sp. 2, isolated from soil contaminated by PCBs. The method was calibrated by weighing of dry mass. We have identified wavelengths of excitation and emission light at which the intensities of fluorescence were proportional to the concentration of biomass within the growth curves of cells planted on biphenyl or biphenyl with Delor 103 as sole carbon sources.
