Říční rameno trvale spojené s aktivním tokem řeky Dyje mělo výrazně bohatší druhovou skladbu rybího osídlení než říční ramena oddělená trvale od aktivního toku. Rovněž početnost ryb tam byla průkazně vyšší. V rámci rehabilitačního projektu je navrženo obnovit trvalé spojení říčních ramen s aktivním tokem Dyje. The river branch connected permanently with the active stream of the river Dyje had a significantly higher species diversity in the fish community than river branches separated permanently from the active stream. As well, the fish abundance was significantly higher in the former. Within the rehabilitation project, it is proposed to restore a permanent connection of cut backwaters with the river Dyje active stream.
