V souvislosti s blížícím se vstupem České republiky do Evropské unie vyvstává stále naléhavěji nutnost začlenění příslušných ustanovení evropských legislativních norem do zákonných předpisů České republiky. Příspěvek se pokouší blíže osvětlit problematiku legislativních norem týkajících se přímo či nepřímo ryb v přírodních ekosystémech, v tomto případě v povodí řeky Orlice. V podstatě se jedná o normy dvou oblastí, rybářské a ochranářské. Within the preparations for the entry in the European Union, the actual nesessity has arisen to implement respective directives of the European legislative into corresponding legislative regulation of the Czech Republic. In the contribution, the attention is paid to the problems of the national and European legislatives concerning directly and indirectly fish populations in natural ecosystems and their fishery management. The attempt is made in this study to apply the European directives to the ichthyofauna and fisheries within the River Orlice hydrological system including both its branches, streams Divoká Orlice and Tichá Orlice. Simultaneously, the attention is drawn to certain aspects that could evoke contradictory opinions in the fishery public.
