Hlavní metodou bylo využití paleomagnetické metody studia a analýzy sedimentárních výplní krasových dutin nalézajících se v rozdílných regionálně-geologických a regionálně-geomorfologických jednotkách Slovinska. Sedimentární profily jsou podstatně starší než bylo doposud uvažováno. Vznik hlavních prostor jeskynních systémů je proto podstatně vyšší než 1.1 mil. let. Palaeomagnetic method was used for a study of sedimentary fill of caves in different geological and geomorphological units of Slovenia. Sedimentary fills are substantially older than expected. The origin of cave spaces is older than 1.1 Ma.
