Měnová reforma provedená v červnu 1953 představovala významný mezník v hospodářském i sociálním vývoji Československé republiky. V práci je zpracován vývoj těchto oblastí zejména formou komparace a popisu, jejichž cílem je poukázat na měnící se vývoj zmíněných oblastí v průběhu padesátých let. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních kapitol, které problematiku řeší chronologicky počínaje rokem 1948 do provedení reformy, poté je řešena reforma samotná a následně je zpracován vývoj od roku 1953 do konce desetiletí. Výsledek ukazuje tvrdý dopad reformy na obyvatelstvo a zároveň sanaci ekonomiky, která umožnila větší růst životní úrovně podmíněný realizací méně ideologicky radikálních postupů v rozvoji hospodářství. Currency reform performed at june 1953 represented important landmark in economic and social development of Czechoslovak republic. In this thesis is elaborated developement of these areas especially by form of comparison and description, whose goal is to point out to changing development of mentioned areas in the course of the fifties. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, that solve the issue chronologically starting on year 1948 to the performance of the reform, thereafter the reform itself is solved and subseqvently developement is elaborated from 1953 to the end of the decade. Result shows hard impact of the reform on inhabitants and simultaneously remediation of economy, that enabled higher growth of standard of living conditioned by realization of less ideologically radical approaches in developement of economy.
