Míčková, Dominika ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Kotlík, Kamil (referee)
Title: The impact of Covid-19 pandemy on the sport motivation in para swimmers Objectives: The aim of the study is to search for the existence of changes in the level of sport motivation in a group of para swimmers as a result of the pandemic crisis in the Czech Republic. Methods: The object of the research is to evaluate the data of a repeatedly submitted standardised Sport Motivation Scale questionnaire to a research cohort of 22 disabled para swimmers aged 19 to 48 years (as of 2021). Then a comparison of this assessment with the responses obtained through a structured interview conducted at the end of the research survey in August 2021 has been developed. Graphical processing and an appropriate form of t-test is used to investigate differences in motivation levels. Results: Although the statistical analysis of the data of the whole group did not show a significant difference between the two studied time periods, nor between men and women, a change in the level of intrinsic motivation to know was observed in the group of men studied separately. Furthermore, a correlation of intrinsic motivation to experience with age was found. When comparing these results with a set of descriptions of the respondent's subjective feelings, the answers to the scientific research questions are not entirely clear....
Comparing the physical prerequisites of competitive swimmers, relative to the preferences of swimming disciplines.
Hanus, Tomáš ; Chvostek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
Title: Comparing the physical prerequisites of competitive swimmers relative to the preferences of swimming disciplines. Objective: The objective of this bachelor thesis is to create a pilot study in which selected physical and anthropometric parameters of junior swimmers (16 to 18 years old) will be measured and compared. We compare short and middle distance swimmers against long distance swimmers. Methods: The research of this pilot study was carried out under the supervision of the supervisor and with the help of special devices lent by the Department of Physical Education. Summary tables and graphs were used for clear interpretation and comparison of results. Results: The measurement results show that endurance swimmers have an average of 2-3 % more body fat than sprinters. Swimmers focusing on short and medium distances, on the other hand, have an average of less than 1 % higher water-free ATH. This result was demonstrated in both girls and boys. The results of the spirometry measurements showed that the sprinters achieved a higher maximum expiratory velocity compared to the endurance runners. Vital lung capacity did not confirm any regularity of results. In this case, the boys were the better sprinters, while the girls, on the contrary, were the endurance athletes. The results were compared...
Comparison of compulsory swimming courses with varying periods of lesson repetition in terms of their resulting impact on the swimming level of young school- age students in catchment area schools in Jablonec nad Nisou
Heidrichová, Anna ; Pádivý, Martin (advisor) ; Chvostek, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of my master thesis is to compare the entry and exit swimming level of younger school-age children in the context of compulsory swimming lessons at the first level of primary school. The essential criterion for comparing the children's tested skills will be whether they receive swimming lessons in the form of intensive courses or in a schedule of one visit to a swimming facility per week. Swimming skills will be monitored for children in second and third grades, both boys and girls. The final distance swum by the children will then be categorised according to both the official diagnostic tables proposed by Čechovská and unofficial tables with more detailed intervals used internally by the swimming school where the research was conducted. In the theoretical part, the origins of swimming and its historical development in the world and in the Czech Republic are first mentioned, with an overlap to the current form of swimming, especially in the context of swimming education. Compulsory swimming education for children of younger school age, its financing, and its organisation are other topics of the theoretical part. In addition, swimming instruction as a pedagogical process is described from the point of view of didactics. The basic swimming skills and the evaluation of the achieved swimming...
The most common errors in performing the crawl swimming method among children in the second and third grades from the Benešov district and their correction.
Dastychová, Martina ; Chvostek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
Title: The most common mistakes in crawl swimming in second and third school year from Benešov district and their remedy. Objective: The aim of this work will be to determine the most common mistakes that children in seconad and third grades make in the technical execution of the crawl swimming stroke. Methods: The research conducted for this work was supervised by the supervisor of the work, and an evaluation scale was used during the pocess. The obtained results were taken down in tabels and graph for clarity. Results: Based on the evaluation of the used scale, the most frequently recurring errors in the given movement category were revealed. In the correct body position, students made mistakes by the positioning their bodies incorrectly so that the water level crossed their forehead while swimming. In the activity of the upper limbs, the incorrect submersion of the arm dominated, which did not occur at the shoulder level. In the lower limbs, irregular movement and coordination prevailed. Regardless of gender, two most common mistakes were observed in breathing - students did not breath to the side and were unable to time inhalation correctly. Swimming plan aiming at tuition of school-aged children - basic swimming skills
Štěpánková, Simona ; Chvostek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Title: Swimming plan aiming at tuition of school-aged children - basic swimming skills Objective: The aim of the work is to create teaching material for a swimming school focused on practicing basic swimming skills (BSS). Methods: The research sample was evaluated in the first lesson to determine their initial skills using a standardized scale. Exercises and activities related to the topic of the work were included in subsequent swimming lessons. Observations and insights were drawn from their practical use for further application. A final output evaluation was conducted in the last lesson. The data from both evaluations were finally compared using the arithmetic mean (x ) and the median (Med(x)). Results: The output values showed improvement in almost all students. Out of thirty-eight participants, ten students achieved the maximum number of points, while another ten lost only one or two points. The remaining eighteen students did not achieve such scores, but visible progress was still recorded in the results. KEYWORDS swimming, swimming lessons, non-swimmers, basic swimming skills
Use of respiratory physiotherapy in freestyle swimming technique
PECHOVÁ, Karolína
The aim of this thesis is to describe the effect of respiratory physiotherapy in freestyle swimming technique, what effect respiratory physiotherapy has on the strength of inspiratory and expiratory muscles and what subjective changes occur when introducing respiratory physiotherapy into training. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes general information about the anatomy and physiology of respiration, respiratory mechanics, including the implementation of the optimal breathing pattern. Furthermore, the crawl swimming style and the main muscle groups that are needed for this style are described here. In the practical part, case reports of 4 probands who have been training regularly in the swimming section for several years are detailed. Oral pressures were measured using a MicroRPM instrument, which evaluates the strength of the inspiratory and expiratory muscles. It also includes the design of therapy, which focuses on respiratory techniques, but also on the mobility of the chest, shoulders and overall posture, including the involvement of a deep spinal stabilization system. The resulting effect of the therapy is positive, when there was an increase in the initial values of maximum oral pressures, but mainly to greater chest mobility, better involvement of the DSSS and better respiratory stereotype. An important result of the therapy is the subjective perception of probands.

Due to its scope, the second program was briefly written and was intended for infants from nine to twelve months. The third program was designed for toddlers from twelve months to two years, according to its scope is written more briefly than the first program.
