Jirátková, M. Possibilities of Flexible Forms of Work in HR Management. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2024. This master's thesis explores the possibilities of flexible forms of work in the field of healthcare. It includes a literature review focused on flexible forms of work, human resource management, the labour market, digitization, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human resource management. The study conducted quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire and qualitative research through semistructured interviews with representatives of selected organizations responsible for human resource management. The findings of both inquiries were appropriately analysed, leading to the formulation of relevant recommendations.
Women between family and work. Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague

Diploma thesis "Women between family and work: Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague" is focused on current problem which is being dealt with on national as well as supranational level. The aim of this thesis is to describe the factors influencing harmonization of family and professional life of the mothers with children from two to six years old in region of Prague and find out whether the policy of state and regional governments reflect these factors. Chosen factors are described from the macro perspective but individual influences are also dealt with. On one hand the attention is allocated to state policy, especially from the point of view of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, but also from the point of selected municipality - municipal authority of Prague and municipality Prague 17.

- Flexible forms of working hours Flexibility is hotly debated term in the recent years and not only in a relation to labour market. This diploma thesis deals with flexible forms of working hours, which represents one of the means to achieve greater flexibility of labour law as well as flexible labour market. Increased options in adjusting working hours based on the needs of the subjects of labour-law relations contributes to more efficient use of employees work, provides new possibilities for some risk groups of employees on the labour market and helps employees in achieving work- life balance. These factors also have positive influence on unemployment rate. The thesis is divided into four chapters, which are further divided into subchapters. The first chapter introduces selected legal principles with the regards to the subject of the thesis. Main focus is on subsidiary relation between civil and labour law and "what is not forbidden, is allowed" principle, which is crucial for flexible forms of working hours, followed by an overview of selected basic principles of labour-law relations and introduction of flexicurity concept. Atypical forms of employment

The modern globalized world is developing rapidly thanks to communication technologies. This trend brought about the need for new and atypical jobs and flexible forms of work. National legislations are responsible for allowing such flexibility. These new forms of work as well as atypical jobs make it possible to better reconcile personal and working life and lead to increased labour productivity, which is in the interest of both employees and employers. This is closely related to the concept of flexicurity, which represents the effort to strike balance between the flexibility of labour law relations and the protective function of labour law. This balance is the legislator's goal. However, said goal is challenging to achieve, given the opposite interests of employees and employers. This thesis is divided into four main chapters and subsequent subchapters. The introduction is focused on a general introduction to the topic and objectives of this proposal. The first chapter summarizes the concept of flexicurity and European and Czech efforts to achieve it. 1 Principle of flexicurity in legal regulation of transfer of rights and obligations from the employment-law relations Abstract In her PhD thesis, the author deals with the legal regulation of transfer of rights and obligations arising from employment-law relations in the Czech Republic, in the context of the European union law, from the point of view of the concept of flexicurity in the employment-law relations. This concept includes, on the one hand, elements of flexibility in the realization of employment-law relations, and, on the other hand, security (protection) of employees in these relations which is manifested in particular by the transfer of rights and obligations from their employment-law relations to the new employer itself. Termination of the employment relationship by the employer

This thesis deals with various ways of termination of the employment relationship from the point of view of the employer. The author describes possible options of termination based on the Act 262/2006 Coll., the Czech labour code, as amended. This thesis also analyses the impact of the foregoing economical slow down on the labor market and recent changes of the legal system reflecting contemporary economical issues in connection with termination options. The author tends to conclusion that solution lies in balancing the flexicurity system, as described in the thesis.
Flexicurity model and its implementation in the European labor markets

This diploma thesis considers a model of flexicurity, which currently represents a key strategy of European employment policy. "The Danish miracle", as it is sometimes called, combines two at first sight contradictory trends - the high flexibility of the labor market and adequate security for workers. However, application of the model to the European labor markets seems to be problematic for several reasons. Several potential barriers to the effective implementation of flexicurity are being discussed in the paper. The most serious seems to be the insufficient and ambiguous definition of the model. This means that different actors understand the nature of the model differently and accept it with different expectations. Flexicurity also ignores the heterogeneity of each labor market. The argument that flexicurity represents a win-win situation for all citizens seems untrustworthy and unrealistic. The paper further argues that the model is connected with the place of origin because of the importance of informal institutions such as advanced social dialogue and public-spiritedness. Finally, it is necessary to take into consideration the enormous financial demands of the model due to the emphasis on a generous social system.

Working hours and flexible forms of work

Suitable working time arrangements, implementation of flexible forms of work and a provision of sufficient rest periods are vital prerequisites for the creation of favourable working conditions leading to a satisfaction of both employees and employers. This bachelor thesis deals with the legal regulation of working hours and rest periods in the Labour Code, comparison of the duration of working hours in the Czech Republic and other countries of the European Union and furthermore deals with the main flexible forms of work and their application in the European Union. The aim of this thesis is to shed some light on the employers' view of flexible forms of employment, describe their main advantages and disadvantages and find out through questionnaires what the employees think about home-working and suggest its appropriate provision.
