Vysoká, Lenka ; Vondráčková, Aneta (referee)
Protection of consumers - customers against the insolvency of tour operators - in EU law This thesis examines the legal regulation of consumer protection in the cases of the bankruptcy of travel agencies. In the event of the insolvency of a travel agency, a problem arises as to who will ensure that the consumers are repatriated from summer resorts and their expenses for the unperformed travel services are reimbursed. This issue was first dealt with by Directive No. 90/314 on package travel. The Directive 90/314 will be analyzed in the second chapter of this paper. The Directive leaves a large margin of discretion for national legislators as to how they achieve the required consumer protection standard. However, the EU Member States must ensure that consumers recover the entire loss they have incurred due to the failure of tour operators to provide services. The Member States have come up with a number of implementation solutions - e.g. insurance of the guarantee for the case of insolvency, bank guarantee or guarantee fund of the travel operators. This implementation into national legal systems is described in the third chapter of this thesis. That chapter further introduces the Czech implementation affected in Act No. 159/1999 Coll. This Act has opted for insurance of travel agencies as the means...

Pourová, Veronika ; Kudlová, Eva (advisor) ; Vysoká, Lenka (referee)
This bachelor thesis pursues the topic of the relationship between meeting the nutrition standards for Czech school dining system and final nutrition values of the meals. It also pursues, which types of food fulfill the consumer's basket the most. The theoretical section mentiones the rules of children's healthy nutrition in the age of 7-11 in terms of general and school eating habits. Laws relating to school dining system are also described. In the end of this section are mentioned projects that pursue the school dinig system in the Czech Republic. The practical section evaluates the proportions of macronutrients and salt content in school meals. It also evaluates the way of meeting the nutrition standads for school meals in 15 school canteens from 4 regions in the Czech Republic. The survey was accomplished by evaluating canteens' stock issue slips and comparing them to a statement of meeting the nutrition standards in 1 month. It was discovered that the macronutrient content doesn't match the rules of children's nutrition in most of the cases and that the salt intake from school meals is too high. It seems that the nutrition standards are at least in some part fulfilled by healthy food suitable for children. The use of fresh vegetable and fruit seems to be high. Also, there is still a place for...

This bachelor's thesis compares the profession of a nutritional therapist in the Czech Republic and abroad. Its purpose is to analyse both similarities and differences in education of nutritional therapists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis is divided into chapters, each of which is concluded with a comparative analysis. Selected documents were studied and subsequently compared in order to perform the analysis. The first section states the general requisites for practising a medical profession. Information on vocational education follows, which then continues with information on specialized courses. Subsequently, curricula of selected universities, medical high schools and other vocational institutions are compared. This section contains the subjects covered by both vocational and specialized courses. Furthermore, the thesis also focuses on certified and lifelong learning courses that are important part of a health care profession. The results show that education of nutritional therapists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is very similar. However, we can find a significant difference in subjects taught during specialized education. Therefore, I would recommend accepting the vocational qualification acquired in Slovakia without further verification of knowledge. On the subject of...
