Aim of this bachelor thesis is to desing and implement player, which will be able to play its own files in FM band. The player consists of transmitter based on Rapsberry Pi and mobile application that allows wireless control of this player. Technical report is divided into three main parts. The initial part describes technologies for transmission of audio signal in FM band. Followed by description of suggested solution and its implementation. Concluding part describes the designed prototype and assesment of its parameters.
UDP a TCP Communication for FITkit
Musil, Martin ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to extend educational platform FITkit for the possibility of communication via TCP and UDP protocol. Communication is provided by Ethernet module ENC28J60 from Microchip. Communication protocols are provided by library enc28j60, which is implemented in C language. The theoretical part deals with analysis of network protocols to be implemented. Work continues describing the characteristics and parameters of the connected module. Followed by a design library in which is particular emphasis on limited computing resource of the platform. In the implementation of the work is to describe the application interface and the basic principles of the library.
FITkit Music Synthesizer
Melichar, Vojtěch ; Minařík, Miloš (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with sound synthesis methods and with design of a synthesizer for FITkit platform. In the first part of the thesis, there are described methods of sound synthesis and the history of sound synthesis is also stated here. Next part contains a brief characteristic of sound chip SID 6581. In the next part of the thesis, there is a design of each part of the synthesizer: oscillator, envelope generator, voice and filter. Then, these components are put together to make up an synthesizer. Correctness of the implementation is verified by a simulation in ModelSim 6.6d. Individual components are simulated separately and then in mayor groups.
FPGA Platform with .NET Micro Framework Support
Matyáš, Jan ; Minařík, Miloš (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to design a development board that may be used for embedded systems prototyping. The board's key parts are an ARM-Cortex-based microcontroller and a FPGA programmable circuit. The platform is designed with .NET Micro Framework support in mind. The thesis contains specifications of the development board, describes the design process as well as the task of .NET Micro Framework porting and the establishment of communication bus between the FPGA and microcontroller circuits. The thesis is concluded by a set of demonstration examples which outline how to develop new applications for the designed platform.
Quality Monitoring Device for Electrical Power Networks
Bartoň, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the parameters of electricity quality. The aim of this work is to design and implement a prototype device that will allow remote measurement of power quality. The proposed system uses NB-IoT technology for data transmission. The system enables remote measurement of important parameters of electrical energy, such as the magnitude of the supply voltage or the frequency of the electric network. The device can measure electric current, average voltage values and detect dip / swell voltage events. The device reads a sampled electrical signal suitable for harmonic analysis. The device has started to meet the requirements for measuring device of class S according to EN 61000-3-40.
Access System Controller Supporting More Types of Identification
Havlíček, Lukáš ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of access system control unit supporting more types of identification. Designed system supports identification using access cards MIFARE and detection of Bluetooth Low Energy devices. Device is realised using the ESP32 development board. The display of passage history and system configuration is solved using a web interface, which is provided by a web server running on this device.
Autonomous Impedance Meter
Voda, Zbyšek ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of a smart embedded device for autonomous measurement of impedance optimized for measurement of biological materials. The goal is to create a device which provides a simple web interface which allows users to capture and further analyze measured data. The digital part is based on MT7688 SoC with WiFi capabilities. The analogue part utilizes a single-chip integrated solution AD5933 that is tightly coupled with a custom analogue frontend whose function is to modify the signal to avoid a potential damage of biological samples. The proposed device is able to either measure impedance for a single frequency or perform a frequency sweep across the whole range beginning at 50Hz and ending at 100 kHz. It supports common two-electrode probes as well as more precise four-electrode probes. The analogue frontend has been simulated using the SPICE simulator to avoid a potential design bug. The experimental evaluation shows that the achieved precision for the typical impedance of biological samples is better than 0.5%.
C Compiler in Python
Lichtner, Ondrej ; Kaštil, Jan (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper describes the design and implementation of a C compiler in Python for the PicoBlaze microcontroler. Currently developement of applications for this microcontroller is limited to using assembler. Therefore the goal is to create a compiler that can be easily modified or extended. Design and implementation is separated into modules. These can be easily replaced or expanded.
Structural Design Using Cellular Automata
Bezák, Jakub ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to introduce the readers to the field of cellular automata, their design and their usage for structural design. Genetic algorithms are usually involved in designing complicated cellular automata, and because of that they are also briefly described here. For the purposes of this work sorting networks are considered as suitable structures to be designed using cellular automata, however, they are not a part of the automata but they are generated separately by modified rules of a local transition function.
ANSI art
Novák, Vlastimil ; Slaný, Karel (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis deals with automatic generation of ASCII graphics. The thesis is divided in several parts. First part describes the basics of computer graphics, image processing and recognition. The next part is focused on a theory and history of two most famous art styles called ASCII art and ANSI art. The methods of char recognition and problems arising from their testing are described in software application design. The methods reducing colour space of analyzed area were designed for char foreground and background colouring. The semifinal part is focused on implementation of library generating ANSI and ASCII art image and software application enabling the setting of all necessary parameters. The testing on a series of images, evaluation of results reached during the development and suggestions of possible future extensions are described in last part of the thesis.
