Control unit for automatic laboratory manipulation system
Vávra, Tomáš ; Růžek, Václav (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This document deals with devices which are used for the automatic Gram staining. The document starts by a research with the aim to discover existing devices and to compare them to the concept of the device developed by company Biovendor. There is theoretically and then practically dealed with the methods of the rotor imbalance detection and measurement of water-level. The Practical part of this document describes the development of the control unit with the microcontroller ARM Cortex-M3 which will be used for the prototype development of Biovendor’s device. The Last part describes measurement of imbalance of three different rotors with the aid of the control unit.
Multifunctional building in Žamberk
Vávra, Tomáš ; Galata, Jindřich (referee) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The main aim of the Bachelor's thesis was to develop the project documentation for the implementation of a new multifunctional building in Žamberk. The building has a partial basement and three floors. The technical facilities and storage space for the residential part of the complex are designed in the basement floor. On the first floor there are commercial spaces for manicure, tobacco shop, hairdresser and cafe. There are also garages on the first floor. In the second and the third floor there are four apartments. The building is designed from ceramic blocks, which are insulated with the contact insulation system ETICS. The ceiling structures are designed as reinforced concrete monolithic slabs. The roofing of the building is a flat roof with a vegetation mixture.
Control unit for 3G wireless module
Vávra, Tomáš ; Hanus, Stanislav (referee) ; Klozar, Lukáš (advisor)
This document deals with theoretical analysis of types and parameters of 3G UMTS modules. Briefly describing basic terms and principles of cellular networks and Global Position System. UMTS modules are firstly described from general point of view and subsequently there is comparison of two specific modules. Part of this document is practical design of control unit for 3G wireless module Telit UC864-G. Design starts with analysis of the module features and subsequently there is description of design procedure that begins with block diagram and ends with circuit schematic and printed circuit layout. Last part of this document describes construction of controll unit, its testing and finally even testing of module itself through serial bus RS-232 from PC with use of program with grafic interface, which have been written for this purpose.
Mountain guest house in Červená Voda
Vávra, Tomáš ; Semrád, Antonín (referee) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was to develop project documentation for the construction of a pension with a restaurant. The object is located in the village of Červená Voda, near the Buková hora ski area. The building is built on sloping terrain. The pension has three above-ground floors and one underground. There are a technical equipment and a common parking lot on the underground floor. On the first above-ground floor there are a restaurant with a kitchen, employee facilities, a reception, offices, and other storage spaces for the pension. On the second and third above-ground floors, there are accommodation units. The accommodation capacity is 40 beds. The architectural and material solution is based on traditional mountain objects. The pension is designed very consistently and responsibly regarding to the surrounding nature and landscape. The structural system of the object is designed as a cross-wall. Load-bearing walls are designed from ceramic blocks. Ceiling constructions are designed as reinforced concrete monolithic slabs. The main part of the object is covered with a gable roof. The roof structure is composed of a truss system.
Periodicity of Jacobi-Perron algorithm
Sgallová, Ester ; Kala, Vítězslav (advisor) ; Vávra, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis aims to study a connection between indecomposable elements in the cubic fields and the Jacobi-Perron algorithm (JPA). JPA is a multidimensional generalization of the usual continued fractions algorithm. We work in the family of Ennola's cubic fields and we examine how the indecomposable elements are related to elements originating from this algorithm and whether some of these elements generate all indecomposable elements in the fields. We formulate conjectures on how to determine which elements will generate the indecomposable elements. We also prove some necessary conditions that have to hold for elements originating from this algorithm to generate indecomposable elements. 1

Local-global principle for quadratic forms
Surý, Pavel ; Kala, Vítězslav (advisor) ; Vávra, Tomáš (referee)
Local-global principle for quadratic forms This work will be focused on the problems of representation and equivalence for quadratic forms. We will prove the fundamental Hasse-Minkowski theorem, which describes the rational representation and equivalence using properties of the form over the completions of Q: the real and p-adic numbers. We will refer to this procedure as local-global principle. Furthermore, we shall describe the methods for computing the p-adic invariants, and show their relation to the representation problem. Finally, we show how the local-global partially extends to integral forms, in particular to indefinite ones of dimension at least 4. 1
Superplastic deformation of ultrafine-grained magnesium alloys containing rare earth metals and zinc
Vávra, Tomáš ; Minárik, Peter (advisor) ; Čížek, Jakub (referee)
Superplastic behavior of two ultrafine-grained (UFG) magnesium alloys was investigated in this thesis. Commercial Mg-4Y-3RE (wt.%) alloy was prepared by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) and new experimental alloy Mg-23Zn-2Y (wt.%) was prepared by extrusion and ECAP. Eight passes of Mg-4Y-3RE through ECAP resulted in grain refinement down to ~340 nm and formation of a high volume fraction of fine secondary phase particles. UFG microstructure with an average grain size of 3.2 µm after extrusion and 1.6 µm after Ex-ECAP was achieved in Mg-23Zn-2Y alloy. The microstructure of Mg-23Zn- 2Y was observed by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The thermal stability of both alloys was measured by microhardness tests. Superplastic behavior was investigated in the temperature range of 250-450 řC and strain rate range of 5x10-4 s-1 - 10-1 s-1 . The results revealed a high strain rate superplasticity in Mg-4Y-3RE alloy. Deformation to fracture exceeded 1000% for several deformation conditions, even at the strain rate of 10-1 s-1 . The highest elongation of 656 % in Mg-23Zn-2Y alloy was achieved in extruded state at the strain rate of 10-3 s-1 .
Solovay-Strassen primality test
Vyhnalová, Sára ; Kala, Vítězslav (advisor) ; Vávra, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis studies the Solovay-Strassen test for primality of an integer n, which is based on the Jacobi symbol. After formulating the basic algorithm, we compute the probability that the number n being tested is really a prime number if the Solovay-Strassen test declared it so. We further improve the computation of the probability under the assumption that n is not divisible by specific small primes, which can be easily verified. Finally, we construct a new test, as an analogy of the Solovay-Strassen test, based on the quartic residue symbol. 1
Bernoulli numbers and regular primes
Le, Anh Dung ; Kala, Vítězslav (advisor) ; Vávra, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this work is to study the relation between regular primes and regular Bernoulli numbers (or just simply Bernoulli numbers). By the class number formula we connect the class number to the values of Dirichlet L-series. We then compute certain values of Dirichlet L-series in terms of generalized Bernoulli numbers. In order to investigate the relations between two types of Bernoulli numbers we define the p-adic Dirichlet L-series. In the end we get a congruence between the class number and Bernoulli numbers modulo p. Since the regular primes are those which divide the corresponding class numbers this is precisely our goal. 1
