Concept of 3D Electric Catalogue and Manual
Tuček, Luděk ; Dvořák,, Jiří (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with modern 3D electronic catalogues and manuals that will be used by users of the expansion turbine operators to quickly locate and determine the required spare parts and expansion turbine. Manufacturing company serves for product presentations and will also serve as a guide for disassembly and assembly of components required by expansion turbine users.
Vine house with accommodation
Tuček, Lukáš ; Ing.Radek Sedlák (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The dissertation solves the project documentation for the new building of two storey, partially is designed as the building with the wine cellar and accomodation in the attic. The building includes 5 accomodation units, the wine shop, the shop for the wine-making equipments, spaces for the archiving wine and the social room. The building is situated in the urban area Velke Bilovice. It is designed to the irregular ground plan based on the strip foundation. The perimeter masonry of the cellar spaces constitutes formwork PREFA, the top part is designed by the system of POROTHERM T PROFI. The construction of ceiling is projected as saddle roof and false hip roof with dormers. The roof covering is designed from the ceramic tiles BRAMAC RUBIN.
Postoperative brachytherapy in the treatment of the early oral cancer
Tuček, Luboš ; Šimůnek, Antonín (advisor) ; Feltl, David (referee) ; Soumarová, Renata (referee)
2 Summary Purpose: Evaluation of the postoperative high-dose-rate brachytherapy (HDR BT) in the treatment of early oral cancer and factors influencing tumour control. Material and methods: Thirty patients with T1-T3N0 tongue and floor of mouth cancer were treated with tumour excision elective neck dissection and HDR BT 18 x 3 Gy bid. The Kaplan- Meier model was used for survival analyses and the log-rank test and Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate the influence of T-stage, histological grade, resection margin, depth of invasion, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) intensity on local control (LC), nodal control (NC), disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Median follow up was 40 months (6 - 145). Results: Actuarial 5 year LC, NC, DFS, DFS after salvage treatment and OS were 85.4%, 69.2%, 65.4%, 75.6% and 73.0%, respectively. The log-rank test and univariate Cox regression analysis revealed the following correlations: tumour grade correlated with LC, DFS and OS; T- stage with NC and DFS; depth of invasion and VEGF intensity with NC, DFS and OS. Associations detected on the multivariate analysis were as follows: tumour grade with LC; depth of invasion with NC; depth of invasion and tumour grade with DFS; and VEGF intensity with DFS after salvage treatment. Marginal Effect of R&D Expenditures on Value of Technology Companies
Tuček, Lukáš ; Kočenda, Evžen (advisor) ; Čech, František (referee)
1 Abstract Research and development is an inseparable part of technology industry as technology companies, unlike most, rely on R&D not only as means of effi- ciency improvement to existing production, but rather as means of production itself. This thesis presents an alternative approach to R&D intensity measure and applies it in an empirical analysis on technology leaders company data from 2013 through 2018 measuring R&D intensity impact on company market value. Additionally, this thesis explores the differences in impact of R&D on company value dependent on the company's product cycle nature. The re- sults of this thesis are mostly conforming to existing academic literature and show diminishing returns to R&D intensity. A surprising negative effect of a variable comparing given company's R&D expenditures to ones of the segment leader of a given segment has been found. There has been found no lag dif- ference between the groups of companies with open and closed cycle product development. Game Theory Approach to Hostile Takeovers
Tuček, Lukáš ; Červinka, Michal (advisor) ; Čornanič, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor thesis investigates the field of hostile takeovers predominantly from the perspective of the management of the target company. Particular emphasis is placed on review of the defense strategies against hostile takeovers and ways in which they might be abused by the management. This thesis attempts to formulate a game-theoretic model describing the process of a hostile takeover as an extensive-form game with perfect in- formation. Payoff functions for the game further in the thesis computed as Nash equilibria of bargaining problem with the current state of the game as a base for the utility gains. We then briefly discuss the implied relationship among the raider, management and the shareholders. JEL Classification C7; C72; G34 Keywords hostile takeover; game in extensive form; defense strategy

A new construction of rotor of helium expansion turbine
Dupák, Jan ; Hanzelka, Pavel ; Michalička, Petr ; Tuček, L. ; Ustohal, V.
The aim of our work was to develop a rotor of the expansion turbine designed for a helium liquefier that would enable operation in different modes and achieving of the desired effectiveness at same time. For meeting theserequirements the rotor should enable precise operation of the turbine in the range of 140 000 to 350 000 rqm at minimum heat flow to the low-temperature part of the turbine. Considering the low thermal conductivity and a high strength, the low-temperature part was made of VT3-1 titanium alloy. This contribution is focused mainly on problems of creation of mechanically strong and thermally resistant joint of this part of the rotor with the part working at room temperature.
