Application of metallic materials for selective growth

The Si(100) surface and Ga surface phases up to 1 ML on their oxidation have been studied by XPS and LEED. The selective growth of Ga on the SiO2/Si structures fabricated by EBL has been analyzed using SEM and AFM methods. It was proved that Ga clusters grow in structures beside the oxide. The structure of alumina on Ni3Al(111) and NiAl(110) substrates was fully determined by combining the results of STM measurements and DFT simulations. It was determined the alumina/NiAl(110) does not form a suitable template for ordered Fe and Co clusters growth. However, the next research confirmed the alumina/Ni3Al(111) forms template appropriate to clusters growth purpose.

Averaging of biological signals

The main objectives of this thesis are to study theory of signal averaging, filtered residue method and methods of stretching/shrinking signal. It will also test the functionality of those methods. Thesis contains theoretical analysis, explanation of principles and testing of behaving of used methods.

Welding of finegrain steel from range of DOMEX steel by YbYAG fiber laser.

The project elaborated within the engineering studies of the branch Manufacturing technology presents an experiment of welding of high strength steel by fiber laser. The project includes a theoretical study, which deals with the welding material properties, principles and types of lasers and laser welding technology. The practical part contains a verification of the welding parameters according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 15614-11. The final evaluation results of the experiment at the close of the project are presented.

Narrow Band Filtering of ECG Signals

Main objective of this bachelors thesis, was to learn about issues and possibilities of ECG filtration. This thesis is focused on narrowband filtration by Lynn’s filters. The objective for this thesis was to design filters for filtration of interferences called drift and brum. Both of them should not affect the relevant part of signal.

Production technology of part OPENER

The project elaborated in frame of bachelor’s studies branch B-STG is submitting design of technology production of the cutting – a part made of steel plate S235JR (ČSN 11 375). Pursuant to of the literary pursuit a problem of the cutting technology and calculation was designed shearing on the follow cutting tool. The instrument make use of standardized components and it is adapted to attached into the press LEN 40 C (producer TOMA INDUSTRIES), with nominal tensile force 400 kN. Blanking punch and blanking die are made of alloyed instrumental steel 19 436.9 (POLDI 2002), heat-worked according to drawing documentation.

The impact of paywall introduction for the IHNED.cz news website

This diploma thesis summarises the development of paid content of ihned.cz, on-line news server of the Czech economic daily Hospodářské noviny. It observes the influence of paywall from August 2014 until April 2015. The aim of the implementation of paywall was to show that the content created on the server was valuable. The theoretical part deals with new challenges media face, including economic and technological changes; it describes the rise of commercialization and media reaction, and solution for these changes in the form of convergence and digital-first concept. The diploma thesis is viewed through the political economy of media approach. It focuses on monetization of content, the willingness of readers to pay for on-line news, traditional and alternative revenues of media, and it describes the examples of implemented paywall in other media. In the practical part, the thesis describes how paywall influenced economic revenues, specifically the digital subscription, advertising and financial results of the publisher Economia, which is providing the server ihned.cz. Position of the brand AB on czech market with electronics and it's marketing strategy

This thesis deals with the analysis of the marketing strategy and activities of the AB brand, which is part of the K + B Progres, a.s. Brand management is in charge of the so-called Import Department, which is already engaged in export activities. The work is focused on the portfolio of small consumer electronics. The company does not produce the goods but trades with it. The author of the thesis explores the existing marketing activities of the AB brand and further analyzes its external and internal environment. The analyzes that have been carried out in order to meet the objectives of the work are PEST, VRIO and microcool brand analysis. In addition, the author made a questionnaire survey mainly to determine the perception of the AB mark of the consumer. On the basis of the collected information, SWOT analyzes and the resulting recommendations were developed.

Interest Rate Models

This diploma thesis deals with short-term interest rate models. Many interest models have been developed in the last decades. They focus on accuracy of prediction. The pioneering one was developed by Vasicek in 1977 followed by the work of others. Nowadays these vary in their level of comprehensiveness and technical difficulty. The main aim of the thesis is to introduce not only a basic Vasicek's work but also more sophisticated models such as Brennan-Schwartz or Longstaff-Schwartz.
