The Position of the Police Authority in Pre-Trial Criminal Proceedings
Jaňovka, Jan ; Musil, Jan (advisor) ; Hořák, Jaromír (referee)
Abstract, key words The Position of the Police Authority in Pre-Trial Criminal Proceedings One of the aims of the presented work was to find out what is the position of the police authority in the Czech criminal preparatory proceedings. I was also concerned with its relationship to other authorities and in particular to the public prosecutor's office. In the initial historical excursus I briefly dealt with the legal regulation in the field of criminal proceedings in the period from 1918 to the present. In the next chapter I described the types and legal regulation of the various police authorities, including the resolution of jurisdictional disputes between them. I then examined, by looking at the structure of the tasks performed by police authorities, the actual position of the police authority in contemporary criminal proceedings. I examined its procedure at the various stages of the pre-trial proceedings and what its relations are with other public prosecutor and the court. In the third part I described the position and organisation in the Federal Republic of Germany. I have described the tasks of the police in criminal proceedings. This showed that criminal proceedings in Germany are considerably faster and less formal. As far as Czech criminal proceedings are concerned, the public prosecutor has...
Methodology of murder investigation with the focus on the use of trace evidence
Krobová, Michaela ; Musil, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořák, Marek (referee)
Methodology of murder investigation with the focus on the use of trace evidence Abstract The thesis deals with the investigation of murder as one of the most serious forms of crime. After a general definition of the investigative methodology, the text focuses on the issue of trace evidence and its use in criminal proceedings, including potential challenges associated with it. Firstly, the current legal regulation of homicides in the Czech Criminal Code is briefly discussed. This is followed by a section devoted to statistics on the number of registered murders and the clearance rate, which are compiled annually by the Police of the Czech Republic, with a brief commentary. The investigative methodology of murder is initially introduced in general terms, followed by a description of its selected components. Attention is focused on the crime scene examination process, the examination of the corpse and the forensic autopsy, as these are crucial initial tasks through which police authority obtains valuable information. The remaining parts of the thesis focus on the forensic specifics of trace evidence, its collection and examination, interpretation, and procedural value, with emphasis on some of its limits. The thesis concludes with the elaboration of a murder case, demonstrating insights from previous sections,...
Form finding of shell structures
Musil, Jiří ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vítek,, Jan (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this doctoral thesis is the design of concrete shell structures with the focus on finding their optimal shape. The optimal shape of a concrete shell is the shape in which for a given load (usually the dead weight of the structure) no significant bending moments are generated in the shell and the structure is in the so-called membrane state. The inspiration for this thesis is the work of Swiss engineer Heinz Isler, who developed the shapes of shell structures using model tests of appropriately loaded flexible membranes. He developed the shell structure for large spans by inverting the resultant shape, which carried its weight almost entirely via membrane forces. The numerical solution of the above experiments using Midas Civil is presented herein. The basic principles of the method are demonstrated on the example of sagged cable. The numerically found shapes are compared with the analytical solution. A shell is designed based on the numerically found shapes and its stress response to dead load is described, particularly in relation to the membrane action. In the next part, the acquired knowledge and methods were used to design three relatively complicated shell structures. Each structure was statically analysed and its static behaviour was described. Structures with perfectly rigid or flexible supports, which simulate real behaviour of the supports, were studied. In the final phase, the results of static analysis of the selected shell were experimentally verified on a physical model in a scale of 1: 55.56. The model has been built using 3D printing. The thesis describes the use of a modelling similarity, the model design, the production process, and the experiment. The load test confirmed the optimal design of the shell structure and the validity of the numerical method for finding their shapes.
Reservation System for a Café U bílé kočky a černého psa
Bartoňová, Julie ; Musil, Jan (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis describes the design and the implementation of web reservation system, which will allow reservations of places and events organized in the café U bílé kočky a černého psa. This thesis starts with the basic theoretical background, in the second part it is focused on the analysis of the problems and the situation. The last chapter is about the own design solution and describes the process of the solution from design to evaluate of benefits of the reservation system.
Modular Architecture of Distributed Applications
Musil, Jiří ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
Traditional architectures of software systems are in heterogenous environment of today's computer networks too heavy-footed. One of principles, which tries to solve this problem is service-oriented architecture (SOA). Practical way of its implementation is represented by web services (WS) built upon protocols like SOAP or XML-RPC. This diploma thesis focuses problem of providing contextual information to mobile devices and its solution based on SOA principles. The thesis introduces design and implementation of web service providing contextual information to mobile devices and prototype of modular inverse SOAP proxy server allowing its effective monitoring and management.
Initial Public Offerings in the Czech Republic
Musil, Jakub ; Ptáček, Roman (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the initial public offering (IPO) in terms of key factors that affect the company when considering issues of its securities. The first part contains an explanation of theoretical concepts that are connected with the IPO and are important for its successful realisation. The second part examines selected analyzes that describe the readiness to go public in a selected company. The last part of the work formulates recommendations for entering the capital market based on found information.
Analysis of Resonance Cabinets of Different Types of Acoustic Guitars
Juhaščik, Lukáš ; Musil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
Bacherlor‘s thesis deals with spectral analysis of guitar body. The aim of the study is the place of resonantion modes at whole body, its frequency and the impact to the final sound.
Moving Objects Detection in Video Sequences
Musil, Jakub ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This publication is dedicated to creating appliaction for motion detection in video sequence. There is summary of several possible methods to solve this matter in theoretical and practical point of view with postive and negative properties. This methods are histograms subtraction and subtraction of each pixel in the tested frame. Fundamental part of this publication is application for motion detection. There are many of tests for created detector for several type moving object included in input video sequence. Results are intimately describe.
Analysis of the perception of chords in a space with different reverberations
Adamkovičová, Lenka ; Musil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is dealing with an analysis of subjective perception of chords in spaces with different reverberation parameters. An algorithmic reverb with 5 different settings of parameters was used on 32 chords or intervals created by either additive synthesis or from sampled real instruments. The modified sounds were then judged on 5 different bipolar scales by 100 respondents in a listening test. The goal of this work was to find the influence of reverbs with different parameters on perception of dissonance, pleasantness, roughness, and timbre of individual chords. Survey results were then plotted in graphs, in which they were compared to each other.
Nuclear power plants
Musil, Jiří ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with history and future of nuclear reactors, it describes nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and provides a list of promising possibilities of using nuclear energy, that are currently in research. Description of the secondary circuit based on Czech nuclear power plants is also included in this thesis. In the beginning, some elementary knowledge about nuclear energetics is gathered, to provide readers with basics of this topic.
