Strategic analysis of the company

Today we are living in a period of unstable economical and political environment. Under these conditions, the ability to adapt to new opportunities, threats and use effectively resources of a company becomes essential. Strategic analysis is a process of developing strategy for a company by understanding of the business and the environment in which it operates. It's a process of defining a company's strategy, direction and goals. The purpose of this paper is to carry out strategic analysis of JSC "Volzhsky Abrasive Works". Strategic analysis of the works consist of various tools : such as investigation, forecasting, analyzing, planning. It includes the following analysis tools : PEST analysis, Porter's five forces a competitor analysis, VRIO and SWOT analysis. Tools used in strategic analysis measure a business's market, competitive position, values, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the company. Strategic analysis provides managers a clear view of the company's business operations, their goals, objectives and how they achieve their targets.

Controlling

The topic of my diploma thesis is controlling. The first part is theoretical where I describe the history, meaning and functions of controlling. After that I also specify the methods of strategical, operational and cost controlling. The practical part applied method of controlling to the selected company. The aim of this study is to determine the benefits of controlling for the company. At the operational level it describes the process of controlling in the firm and there are given suggestions for its improvement. At the level of financial controlling it was analyzed indicators of financial analysis. As part of strategic controlling I prepared SWOT analysis with the purpose of finding the best strategy for the firm. At the end I will summarize the results of my thesis and I will point out the necessity of having the controlling established in company.

The Master's thesis focuses on business plan of starting a patisserie. Recommendations for writing a business plan are given at theoretical part. This part gives a definition of entrepreneurship, business plan and financial planning. Main focus is given to financial planning and market analysis. Business plan itself captures the major aspects of starting a patisserie. The practical part is based on real market analysis and gives evaluation of possible options of financial planning. Based on all the collected data recommendation whether to start this business plan or not will be given.

Controlling

The aim of this Master's thesis was to characterize the current cost ratio, pricing system and profitability of an agricultural firm, called P.G.TRADE, spol s r.o.. This company is engaged in the production and sale of compound feeds and premixes, resp. in storing different kinds of agricultural commodities. My specific aim was to determine whether the current pricing system and prices cover all the costs which incurred because of the processes of production and sale of finished products and that in doing so provides a satisfactory level of profitability, too. In the first, methodological part, I summarized all the necessary theoretical knowledge that we need to know about controlling. I paid particularly big attention to calculations and budgeting. In the application part I focused on the characteristics of the company itself and on the analysis of the costs and of the pricing system. In the next part I described in details the manufacturing processes of compound feeds and premixes in the company's main factory in Dvory nad Žitavou. The last part is devoted to the calculation of production costs and identifying weaknesses. In addition to the description of the conclusions I tried to propose some measures that could help in improving the company's profitability.

Controlling of Development Costs

The thesis deals with the theme of controlling of development costs in the company Škoda Auto. The work is divided into two main parts. The beginning of this work is focused on theoretical determination of definition of controlling, basic structure, reporting, then issue of cost management and activation of intangible assets is defined. The practical part of the thesis describes the company Škoda Auto and the location of controlling department inside the company. At the end of the work there are analysis of the development cost, conditions for activating and proposal for optimizing methodology to activate the development cost.

The outcome of the following thesis is a thorough financial analysis of the company Ferona a.s. based on the publicly available information. The introduction will describe current situation and brief company profile. The theoretical part will present description of the financial analysis and its tools with all required formulas. In the thesis we will work with vertical and horizontal analysis, working capital analysis, ratio analysis, bankruptcy and creditworthiness models and more. The practical part starts with company description and then follows the financial analysis. The main goal of the work is to evaluate financial situation of the company and interpretate achieved results. Final part of the work is focused on the complete evaluation and main recommendations.

The aim of this bachelor's thesis Enterpreneurial Project Happy ZOO Golf is to create a business plan for a project that will be implemented in a near future. The work which is separated into several parts will deal with establishment of a new golf brand for kids. The attention will also be paid to mapping the situation of succesful brand introduction to a czech golf products market as well as creation a marketing plan and financial feasibility of a project. Practical part is based on a theoretical background whose knowledge and correct application is essential for a successful realisation of business plan. The work will bring a comprehensive analysis of author's intention including an assessement of real operability.

The financial analysis of company Znovín Znojmo, a.s.

This thesis focuses on evaluating financial situation of company Znovín Znojmo, a.s. in period between years 2006 to 2011. Emphasis is mainly put on clarifying the causes of development of the most important book entries of financial statements. The thesis is divided into three main parts -- company profile, theoretical part and practical part. Company profile concerns the basic information about the company and the viticultural industry. Theoretical part sums up the basic knowledge of financial analysis and methodological apparatus -- vertical and horizontal analysis of the financial statements, credibility and bankruptcy model index IN 05, pyramidal decomposition of ROE, comparison of financial ratios between other companies and analysed period and spider analysis as a method of intercompany comparison. Practical part is based on the data calculated on the basis of methodological apparatus. I will summarize the financial situation of the company in the ending and assess the quality of financial health. The information for this thesis was obtained from the financial statements and the attachments published in the annual reports and from the company's website.

Improvement of the controlling system through IT

Cílem práce bylo navrhnout řešení v oblasti managementu pro konkrétní podnik, a to pomocí principů a nástrojů controllingu. V textu jsou nejprve popsány různé přístupy ke controllingu i k jeho zavádění v podniku, včetně specifik malých a středních firem. Praktická část se zaměřuje na strategickou analýzu podniku, návrh systému plánů a přizpůsobení účetnictví a postupů řízení zakázek v podniku. Doporučení ohledně softwarové podpory jsou rozdělena do více fází.

Modernizace a optimalizace školních budov a služeb spojených s provozem základního školství ve městě Ústí nad Labem

Práce pojednává o procesech, projektech, nástrojích, povinnostech a možnostech samosprávy v oblasti veřejné služby ? poskytování vzdělávání. Zabývá se dnes aktuálním tématem modernizace a optimalizace školství. Toto téma se řeší na všech úrovních, ať již celostátní, kdy Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy vydává různé metodiky, či na úrovních krajských a obecních. Největší krizí prochází školství střední a základní. Souvisí to s propadem demografické křivky, kdy v období po ?sametové revoluci? rapidně klesla porodnost. V současné době se situace normalizovala, dá se tedy reálněji pohlédnout do budoucnosti, a udělat prognózu vývoje počtu žáků. Hlavním cílem je zmapování současné situace v oblasti základního školství v Ústí nad Labem, zhodnocení na základě dat a informací minulých období stávající stav, a navržení a posouzení možných řešení do budoucnosti.
