Author: Michaela Matušková Title: Case study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Periphery Paraparesis of Lower Limbs due to Degenerative changes of Spine Aims: The aim of this bacherol thesis is to summarize physiotherapeutic information about the diagnosis of peripheral paraparesis of lower limbs and make the case study about the pacient with this diagnosis. Methods: The general part is about the information of diagnosis and explanation main terms about the disease and about suitable therapeutic methods, that could be used. The case study consist of kinesiological examination, physiotherapeutic plan and therapy, ten therapeutic units, the final kinesiological examination and effects of therapy. Results: The physiotherapeutic plan was suitable for pacient and effect of therapy was succesful at the end of therapy. Keywords: case study, peripheral paraparesis, physiotherapy, lower limbs

Locus of Control and Health-related Behavior among Women with Gestational Diabetes

Teoretical part of this thesis deals with following topics: locus of control, gestational diabetes and health-related behavior. Research project examines differences in locus of control between two groups of pregnant women, one group without gestational diabetes diagnosis and other group with gestational diabetes diagnosis. Furthermore this part of the thesis examines differences in locus of control between two groups of pregnant women, one group with gestational diabetes with mild risk and the other group with gestational diabetes with higher risk. Last examined difference is in locus of control among women with gestational diabetes before receiving diagnosis and after receiving diagnosis. Proposed project can be useful for professionals working with women with gestational diabetes.

Satisfaction and stability in romantic relationships in the context of Big Five personality model.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on satisfaction in romantic relationships in relation to personality traits. The goal of this work is to map the connection between specific personality traits and the degree of satisfaction of individuals who are currently in a romantic relationship. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the definition of terms such as satisfaction, romantic partnership, marriage and marginally mentions the variables that affect satisfaction in a partnership. Further, the theoretical part includes an introduction to the methods of measuring personality traits BIG FIVE (NEO-FFI). The empirical part of this thesis describes quantitative research conducted to find out how the individual factors of BIG FIVE influence the level of satisfaction in a romantic relationship. This satisfaction was measured using the CSI (32) method. The research involved 154 respondents ages 18 and over who were in a relationship at the time of the measurement. The results showed a positive correlation between Extraversion and satisfaction and Conscientiousness and satisfaction. There wasn't a statistically significant relationship between the factors of Neuroticism and Agreeableness towards satisfaction. Based on literature, the factor of Openness to new experiences was not examined.

Psychotherapy in adolescent population with depressive disorder

This bachelor thesis deals with depressive disorder in adolescents focusing on the corresponding treatment. The literature review gradually introduces depressive disorder in adolescents, its causes, manifestations, diagnostics, consequences and treatment, in which the emphasis is on the psychotherapeutic approaches KBT and IPT-A. Along with them it introduces new approaches to treatment derived from KBT. The empirical part is a continuation of the topic of treatment of depressive disorder in adolescents. It deals with mapping the effectiveness of KBT and IPT-A in terms of general effectiveness and its effects on the individual subscales, which are defined in the CDI questionnaire.

Perception of successful parenthood in today's Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe perception of successful parenting by today's parents, grandparents and professionals, which are working with families. The first part of bachelor thesis describes family, parental roles, parenting styles and understanding of good, successful parenting. The thesis emphasizes the description of the changes of each phenomena in time and the historical context of these changes. The second part of bachelor thesis describes qualitative mapping research. The aim of research is to map intergenerational shift in perception of successful parenthood. Aspects of successful parenting will be identified through interviews with today's parents, grandparents and psychologists and pediatricians. Using the Coping strategies questionnaire (SVF 78) when working with peoople with psychotic disorder

The aim of the current project is to evaluate SVF-78 questionnaire in terms of its usability when working with individuals with a psychotic disorder. Moreover, the project's focus lies on the differentiation of positive and negative coping strategies. The obtained data from SVF- 78 questionnaire were collected together with WHOQOL-100 from people diagnosed with psychosis and quantitative methodology; concretely correlations were used for its analysis. Parametric and nonparametric tests were used for a comparison of a group with psychotic disorder and a control group. This was an exploratory study which aimed to bring empirical knowledge for further research in this area. This overall goal was reached due to a denial of many null hypotheses. Due to the results, it is possible to focus on particular aspects of coping within SVF-78 questionnaire and their connection to the quality of life of an individual with psychotic disorder.
