Váchová, Markéta ; Urbánek, Petr (advisor) ; Majerčíková, Jana (referee) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
The dissertation is devoted to the subject of the teacher's working conditions in contemporary society. Since there are many types of conditions of a teacher's work and this issue can be examined from many points of view, I focused on the conditions that can cause morally dilemmatic situations in a teacher's work. The aim of the thesis is to open up a hitherto little discussed topic in the field of the teaching profession. The work has a theoretical-empirical character. Its theoretical part presents basic knowledge related to topics relevant to the issue under consideration (society; contemporary society; teacher and his work; teacher's profession; teacher's communication; stress in teaching work; moral dilemmas; moral distress). The aim of the research described in the methodological and practical part is to obtain detailed information about situations that represent a moral dilemma for teachers in their work. A mixed research approach was therefore undertaken to best fulfill this objective. The qualitative part contains twenty conducted semi-structured interviews with selected teachers on the topic of morally dilemmatic situations in their work. This was followed by the analysis of interviews and the division of morally dilemmatic situations into categories: teacher vs. parents of pupils; teacher...
Transition from pre-primary to primary education of children with low attendance in kindergarten
Picková, Helena ; Straková, Jana (advisor) ; Tomková, Anna (referee) ; Majerčíková, Jana (referee)
The dissertation focuses on the parental attitudes about education of their children during transition from pre-primary to primary education. The study focused on families without identified socio-economic disadvantage whose children were not enrolled in kindergarten. The research design was a longitudinal multiple case study of seven families located in the Liberec region. Data was gathered at multiple points during the children's transition from the kindergarten to primary school. The study focused on the reasons that led parents gave for deciding that their children would either participate in non-regular pre-primary education within nursery schools or not attend the pre-primary classes at all. The study inquired about: parents' general attitudes about pre-primary education; their views on the right educational path for their children; and their self-reported approach to their children's overall development. The study also examined the parents' feelings about the introduction of an obligatory pre-school year and their process of making the enrollment decisions. The results showed that although these families did have some common characteristics, the reasons given for opting not let their children attend preschool, were diverse. Mothers of these children were passionate about doing what's best...

Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Jana Majerčíková Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Hana Sklenářová, Ph.D. Title of the diploma thesis: HPLC separation of phenolic substances in plant material This diploma thesis is focused on development and optimization HPLC-DAD method for determination of 17 phenolic compounds (gallic acid, protocatechuic acid, 4-aminobenzoic acid, chlorogenic acid, catechin, caffeic acid, epicatechin, vanillin, p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, salicylic acid, rutin, o-coumaric acid, quercitrin, myricetin, quercetin and kaempferol) in apricot variety Betynka. In the process of optimization several types of stationary phase and gradients of mobile phase were tested. For the analysis of real samples guard column Security GuardTM Polar C18 (4 x 2.0 mm, 3 μm) and column Luna Omega Polar (150 mm x 2.1 x 3 μm) were selected. As mobile phase the mixture of ultrapure water acidified with the acetic acid to pH 2.8 and acetonitrile was used. For the analysis the gradient elution with initial isocratic step was used, total analysis time was 17 minutes. The flow rate was 0.6 ml/min and the injection volume 1 μl. The detection was performed by DAD spectrophotometric detector at wavelengths of 254, 260, 280 and 320 nm. Validate...
