The presence and localization of local DNA structures in the genome of Schizosaccharomyces pombe

The thesis focuses on the study of local DNA structures (cruciforms and G quadruplexforming sequence) in the genome of Schizosaccharomyces pombe, a yeast used in the food industry. The analysed local structures are non-randomly distributed within the genome. Based on previous studies, it has been found that they often colocalize with regulatory regions of genes and that the role of these secondary structures in the regulation of basic cellular processes (e.g. replication or transcription) is significant. This analysis was performed using specialized bioinformatics tools (G4Hunter and Palindrome Analyser) that allowed me to identify and analyze these structures in terms of their presence and localization. Many times less IR was found in mtDNA compared to the occurrence of IR in chromosomes. The number and frequency of PQS in mtDNA was also found to be very low. It is very different from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae in this respect. It was also found that the number of IRs found decreases with increasing IR length and about 17% of IRs do not have a loop. A large enrichment of IRs was observed in the repeat_region and rRNA, and in the case of PQS in the rRNA and mRNA regions, i.e. sequences important for cellular processes.

Parental attitudes towards the education of children with autism spectrum disorder

This diploma thesis provide a comprehensive list of information about the attitudes of parents towards education of children with autism spectrum disorders. The aim of this thesis is to determine how the parents receive a diagnosis of autism of their children and how they determine the access to education for their children as well. The theoretical part is based on literature, there are defined basic information about autism spectrum disorder, division of autism, causes symptoms of autism and finally information about parents with disabled children. This issue is focused to main autism spectrum disorders. There is mentioned technical assistance to families with ASD. Qualitative research, phenomenological approach and semi-structured interview designed to attitudes of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. Are used in the empirical part. Research shows the acceptance and coping with a diagnosis of autism, and changes to the education of children with ASD. Practical part was created on the basis of theoretical knowledge, my personal experience and research questions. Thesis seeks a comprehensive and updated overview of the attitudes of parents towards education of children with autism spectrum disorder. The drugs problem in prisons of the Czech Republic

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to survey and describe the current state of the drugs issue in czech prison's system based on the experiences of prisoners. The theoretical part is based on literature research and there are described Prison Service of the Czech Republic, problems of addictive substances in prisons systems and possibilities of addiction treatment in prisons. In empirical part is quantitative research which using a questionnaire. In the end of empirical part are described possibilities of prevalence of drugs and their penetration into prisons in Czech Republic. I tried to described current overview about drugs in Czech prisons in my bachelor thesis.

Brand perception
KUBÍNOVÁ, Michaela
This thesis follows up brand perception. Brand Česká spořitelna was choosen for its publicity and strong market position. The perception of public and perception of own empolyees was compared. On the basis of comparing of an ideal bank and Česká spořitelna, there were the proposals for improving this perception created. Economic impact was considered too.
