TITTLE: Integration of foreigners from the perspective of volunteer work AUTHOR: Alžběta Končitíková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Miroslava Kovaříková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The bachelor thesis deals with the isssue of integration of foreigners from the point of view of volunteer work. The aim of the thesis was to gain experience based on own research in order to create a leaflet usable mainly for the student sof the Faculty of Education. The thesis is dividend into two parts. The theoretical part deals with volunteering, its history in the Czech Republic, motive of volunteering, obstacles and issues of volunteer activities of non - governmental organizations. The research part deals with real opinions of the integration of foreignersfrom the selected organization META. The observation was based on the interview and the method of work was an interview with volunteers. Since the selected volunteers also work for other organizations. I focused on thein opinion about the isme. The practical part of the facts about integration. This summary was the basic for those interested leaflet for those interested in volunteering at the Faculty of Education. Kybergrooming at the elementary schools

In my master thesis I deal with the issue of pupils' movement in the online space, I observe number of different online features that may be potentially confusing or dangerous to children, as well as phenomena that can directly threaten the children. I also monitor the activities of the children themselves, how they deal with their personal data and how they care for their own safety. I pay special attention to social networks and pathologies on them, addiction, cyberstalking, sexting, online bullying and the utmost attention to cyberspace issues. In my survey, it turns out that the profile of some of the social networks has the vast majority of pupils in the elementary school, some of them younger than the official minimum age limit on these networks. Own personal data share about nine children out of ten. 6 % of the questioned children commit significant risk behaviour, 48 % have already encountered cyberbullying and 42 % of children committing some risky behaviour do not think they should behave more cautiously in the virtual world.
Analysis of selected textbooks health education

In this diploma thesis I look at the Analysis of selected textbook health education through the eyes of teachers who use it in their lessons. The theoretical part of this thesis serves as an introduction to the complex topic of textbooks and lays out the criteria according to which a textbook is chosen. In the practical part I carry out a didactic analysis of the textbook and I present a summary of experience of teachers who have worked with it. The practical part shows that teachers's experience does not differ significantly from the findings of the didactic analysis. The textbook's unusual approach to teaching health education is prominent in both surveys. This thesis aims to help junior health education teachers decide whether and how this particular textbook will benefit their own teaching method. The issue of implementation of the education of health education in biology

The present Master's thesis is concerned with the issue of implementation health education as a part of school subject called Biology at a chosen primary and secondary school. The aim of the thesis is to verify the functionality of curriculum implementation at the chosen school and also to propose a right model of implementation health education as a part of Biology easily applicable from own teaching experience. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part deals with a brief characterization of education in the Czech Republic, The Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and relating significant terms, School Education programme and educational areas. The practical part is focused on real situation of implementation health education as a part of Biology at the chosen primary and secondary school where I work as a teacher. I was doing my research in Year eight and nine that is given health education lessons. I used a knowledge questionnaire as a method of research. The practical part investigated and brought aggregate information about the issue of implementation of given fields of education, which I used for my own project. The Problematics of Integrating Foreign Students

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of integrating foreign students (students speaking any language other than Czech) into Czech educational system with regard to the most current regulations and legislative documents issued not only by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports but also by non-profit institutions involved in the process. In the theoretical part the most important key terms are described, such as integration or foreign students. Another topics embedded in this part include integrational processes and respective working procedures, as well as the introduction of the aforementioned non-profit institutions which contribute to the integration of foreign students in the Czech Republic. In the empirical part a goal is set to inspect how selected schools (meaning students and educators) deal with the issue of integrating foreign students in practice. The way schools view and tackle it is explored through a qualitative research while using semi-structured interviews or observation. KEYWORDS integration, student, foreign, language, school
Changes in eating habits of Czech people during a century

I focused on changes in eating habits of Czech people during a century. I have solved this problem by historical-comparative methods. I tried to highlight the possibilities of current eating habits and available ingredients in context of time. Using a questionnaire survey, I mapped the current use of certain foods typical of the Czech population, which I divided into 4 age categories. The division was as follows: younger 18 years, 19-30 years, 31-60 years and older than 61 years. I was also interested in the differences in consumption among the sexes. The questionnaires show that there are changes in consumption of some foods earlier and today: horse meat and turnips are used less frequently as same as cooking of soups of cooked milk and cheese soup, etc. On the contrary, consumption of meat and fruit has increased. To facilitate cooking work, semi-products are still used, men more than women use canned foods. I also found that in my sample of respondents there was a more moderate eating style amongst people, there were few people with strictly defined and special catering styles. Research has also found that most of the people in the diet today see a change in the diet. This fact is perceived positively, mainly in the sense of greater variety and availability of food. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části je uvést vymezení výchovy ke zdraví, vyjasnit pojmy alternativní vzdělávání a mnou vybrané jednotlivé směry. Cílem praktické části je představit konkrétní vybrané alternativní školy a směry v Praze, jakým způsobem začleňují výchovu ke zdraví do svého školního vzdělávacího plánu.
