Kovářová, Kristýna
The bachelor thesis describes the natural conditions, potential and current state of geobiocenoses, history of the territory, current state and planned landscaping in the future. It also processes and evaluates inventory surveys carried out in the territory in 2006-2022. The area of 5.17 km2 is located in the south-east of Brno. The subsoil consists of sands and loess covered by anthropogenic deposits. The ground cover is chernozem. The territory falls into a warm region. Human activity in combination with succession influences has given rise to unusual biotopes that host a number of protected animal species. By synthesizing surveys, 498 plant species were obtained, of which 2 are protected by law and 43 are endangered according to the Red List. 17 species have been found in mammals, of which 3 are protected by law and 10 are endangered according to the Red List. 146 bird species have been registered, of which 56 are protected by law and 63 are endangered species according to the Red List. In amphibians and reptiles, 8 species have been recorded, the law protects 7 of them, and according to the Red List, 8 species are endangered. Of the insects, 176 species have been registered, of which 17 are protected by law and 31 are endangered according to the Red List. A floristic survey was also carried out. In which 200 plant species were found, none of which are protected by law and 18 are endangered according to the Red List.
The most frequent injuries in orienteering, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of them
Kovářová, Kristýna ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Stackeová, Daniela (referee)
Kovářová, K.: The most frequent injuries in orienteering, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of them. Background: One of the basic tasks for every athlete is preventing injuries and overuse, while achieving good results. However, there is no review paper, where injuries in orienteering are generally reviewed and widely discussed. Objectives: The aim of this work is to give a comprehensive overview of injuries in orienteering. At first, to compare the results obtained from the studies regarding injuries in orienteering and then to describe the injury patterns, diagnostic and therapeutic methods and procedures what can be used to prevent injuries described. Methods: Pedro databases, PubMed and the databases of the National Medical Library and Central Library FTVS UK were the sources of studies (in Czech and English language) on injuries in orienteering during the years 1980-2008 (keywords orienteering, injury). Ranking of the frequency of the injuries has been compiled. The injury patterns, basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and methods which can be used to prevent these injuries are described in the following theoretical section . Results: In the overall rating (average percentages representation types of injuries from studies in which the type is directly described) ankle injury...
Phytoextraction of metformin and guanylurea
Kovářová, Kristýna ; Smrček, Stanislav (advisor) ; Petrová, Šárka (referee)
Pharmaceutically Active Compounds include metformin, the most often prescripted drug for a treatment of the diabetes mellitus type 2. Metformin is used in high daily doses (up to 3000 mg per day) and it is eliminated by kidneys in its original non - metabolized form. Metformin is degraded in the wastewater treatment plants to guanylurea. The wastewater treatment plants aren't able to clean the waste water, so metformin and guanylurea enter the environment, especially surface water. This diploma thesis deals with the ability to remove metformin and its environmental metabolite guanylurea via phytoextraction technologies. First experiment was focused on phytoextraction of metformin using 5 plant species - Zea mays L., Pisum sativum L., Avena sativa L., Alternanthera reineckii Mini L. and Staurogyne repens L. Second experiment studied phytoextraction of guanylurea using Zea mays L. and Pisum sativum L. The third experiment deals with the phytoextraction of metformin and guanylurea together using Zea mays L. The media of all plants were contaminated by metformin or guanylurea at different concentration levels. The samples of media were taken in 24 hours intervals during the plant cultivation and the decrease of its concentration were studied by HPLC with UV detection at 233 nm for metformin and 210 nm...

Phytoextraction of metformin
Kovářová, Kristýna ; Smrček, Stanislav (advisor) ; Zedník, Jiří (referee)
A group of substances including human and veterinary products, cosmetic products, parfumes, drugs, detergents and fertilizers is called the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products. PPCPs include also metformin, which is a widely prescripted drug for the treatment of the diabetes mellitus type 2. Metformin isn't metabolized in human body and is eliminated by kidneys in its original form. This way the metformin contamines municipal wastewater. Wastewater treatment plants aren't usually able to clear pollution by pharmaceuticals completely, so part of them gets into the surface water. The ability to eliminate low concentrations of metformin via phytoextraction by Zea mays was studied in this thesis. The media of plants were contaminated by two levels of metformin concentration and during the plant cultivation the samples of media were taken in 24 hours interval. The decrease of metformin concentration in the samples was studied by HPLC with UV detection at 233 nm. The decrease was about 15 - 20 % per one day. Afterwards the extractable residues were analysed by TLC and it was found out, that metformin was extracted only by a root part of the plants. The ability of plants to extract metformin was determined at 0,01 g of metformin per 1 gram of plant per 24 hours.
Women opinions on Caesarean section from retrospective view
KOVÁŘOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis focuses on women after the cesarean section and their opinions on this surgical procedure. In the theoretical part, there several poins were clarified, such as the problems of caesarean section, its definition, history, types of incisions and indications, possible complications and types of anesthesia that can be used in this operation. An integral part of the theoretical work is midwives' nursing care of a woman before and after operation and during the puerperium. The thesis is also engaged in breastfeeding and care of the newborn after the caesarean section. The aim of the research section was to find out the women's opinions on the caaesarean section from a retrospective point of view. Four research questions have emerged from this objective. The first question was how women understood the caesarean delivery. The second one was about women's satisfaction with midwife care. The third question focused on thefirst contact with the newborn and the fourth one on influencing the life of women after the caesarean section. A qualitative research survey was chosen for the research part. The survey was conducted during March 2017 with seven respondents who were, from one to five years, after the caesarean section and agreed to provide an interview. During the semi structured interview, women were asked 15 questions. Then, the conversations were literally transcribed, their analysis was done by hand coding, or pen and paper method. Women's responses were identified by individual codes and categorized. The research shows that women have a positive opinion on the C-section, Theky consider it the best choice in a situation that has been taken to save their child. Despite that most respondents were worried before surgery, their consent to the caesarean section would not change today. For more than half, the information provided by the doctor was sufficient and comprehended. Almost all surveyed women were satisfied with nursing care and information from midwives and also with the first contact with the newborn, which occurred within two hours after the procedure. However, dissatisfaction was expressed in the approach to breastfeeding and in this area most women described the difficulties. Although more than half of women responded that they did not feel limited by surgery, all respondents let family members help them during the puerperium. Nearly all respondents reported increased sensitivity in the scar that they felt at least for half a year after delivery. The bachelor's thesis may serve as an inspiration for midwives to improve thein nursing care. In addition, midwifery students can benefit it in improving thein practice experience.
