Athletes' dual career in the Czech environment

Title: Athlete's Dual Career in Czech republic Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to suggest an appropriate arrangement for program of the Czech Olympic Committee "Dual Career" and for the development of dual career issues in the Czech Republic. Methods: There was used secondary and primary sources in this thesis. The secondary sources stem from publicly available sources such as official website, annual reports, or previous research. As a primary source was used qualitative method of in-depth interviews with Czech athletes Lucie Charvátová, Ondřej Synek and program' manager Kateřina Neumannová. There was also used SPLISS research to characterize the current situation. Results: It was founded out the Dual Career has a great potential. However, there are currently insufficient financial and human resources for reaching the bigger part of the focus group. There was suggested the arrangements for improving the issue of dual career in this thesis. Czech society needs the implementation of changes at the legislative level. Also, there was recommended to establish cooperation with more universities and organizations offering employment to athletes. Title: Marketing Communication of TENIS PRO DETI Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to improve the marketing communication of beginning project TENIS PRO DĚTI or to suggest completely new marketing communication of TENIS PRO DĚTI according to the results of author's analysis. Methods: There was used mainly primary sources in this thesis. The quantitative and qualitative research was used to evaluate current marketing communication. As quantitative research was chosen a questionnaire. There was used an interview as qualitative research. Also, the TENIS PRO DETI's Facebook profile and website was analysed. Results: There was find out the marketing communication is not use effectively nowadays. Accordingly, it was suggested to improve actual communication tools. Also, there was suggested new communication tools to reach the aims of the project TENIS PRO DĚTI. The impacts of destructive floods of 1997 to the population of the affected areas in the Morava River basin

The fundamental characteristic of floods in 1997 was a complete lack of readiness of relevant institutions and inhabitants. Flood rules practically nonexistent, and if so, nobody is disregarded. This occurred primarily because of disruption in the perception of the risk of flooding, for various reasons, at the risk of forgetting. The major reasons were: very long period no huge flooding, excessive reliance on technical progress, building homes in river floodplains, reliance on state assistance.

The potential development of extraordinary talents of extraordinary gifted children

Social capital of exceptionally gifted child consists from external influences acting on it within family background and beyond. There is big number of influences and this fact is reflected in the character of the existing research area. There are many models that try to convey multidimensional external and internal influences shaping the integrated personality of exceptionally gifted child.

The Social Environment as a Factor Affecting the Use of Corporal Punishment in the Bringing Up of Preschool Children

The Introduction deals with historical circumstances of children{\crq}s position in society. Further, it contains definitions of the terms of education, educational style, educational means and corporal punishment. An integral part of my thesis is also a list and characteristics of factors influencing the choice of educational means. The questions of the consequences of corporal punishment are also paid attention to. The conclusion brings an outline of legislation related to corporal punishment. The primary objective of my thesis is to survey the attitudes of parents to corporal punishment wards in the education of pre-school age children. The next objective is to analyze the obtained data from the point of age, education, family status and income groups. The practical part of the thesis consists of quantitative research conducted by the technique of a standardised questionnaire. Drawing on the research conducted and the follow-up analyses of the results obtained, it is possible to state that most respondents consider corporal punishment as an appropriate educational means, and that the factor that most influences the selection of educational means is one{\crq}s own childhood experience with corporal punishment.

Obesity in the elderly: The health and social issues

ABSTRACT The present bachelor thesis is entitled Health and Social Aspects of Obesity in the Elderly. Obesity is a serious chronic metabolic disease characterized by an increased fat percentage in body composition with a simultaneous increase of body mass beyond the normal range. Obesity needs to be seen both as a disease and as an important risk factor contributing to the development of a number of other conditions. The results of extensive studies have clearly demonstrated an increase in the number of people affected by overweight or obesity on a worldwide scale. The rising population prevalence and incidence of obesity prompted the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1997 to declare obesity a worldwide epidemic. The elderly constitute a high-risk group in terms of obesity development. The body{\crq}s reduced energy requirements on the one hand and the deeply entrenched poor dietary habits with an excess of low-quality foods coupled with reduced physical activity on the other hand necessarily lead to overweight and obesity. This serious chronic disease requires a comprehensive, individual-focused diagnostic and therapeutic approach. The main and irreplaceable role in combating obesity is played by prevention, which should become a society-wide task. This bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical section explains concepts related to the thesis topic, i.e.: obesity definition, obesity prevalence, causes of obesity development, effects of obesity, diagnostics in obesity medicine, treatment of obesity and obesity prevention. It also describes the issue of obesity in the elderly. The aim of the thesis was to ascertain attitudes within the elderly population towards the issue of obesity, as well as assess their level of interest in health and healthy lifestyles and whether they know and follow the current trends in healthy nutrition. Another goal was to examine their willingness to get actively involved in lifestyle change, thus assuming responsibility for their state of health. For the purposes of research the thesis used a quantitative research technique. Questioning was chosen as a method, the resulting technique used being a questionnaire. The practical part of the bachelor thesis closes with an analysis including an evaluation of results. The research results show that the elderly do not regard obesity as a substantial health problem. In my opinion, the stated aim of the thesis has been achieved.
