The World gold market and investing in gold

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the current situation on the World gold market and describe the factors that influence this market. It also focuses on interpreting the possibilities of an investor who decides to enter the gold market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes the properties of gold, its occurrence, its use and historical significance. The second chapter focuses on the evolution of the World gold market, more precisely on the supply and demand of gold. At the end of this chapter, is described the development of the world's gold price over the last 20 years and the factors that affect the price. The last chapter discusses the possibilities to invest in gold and what advantages and disadvantages the investment can bring.
Development of employment of persons with disabilities Czech republic

The thesis is concerned with the issues related to the development of the system that helps the disabled people to integrate into the labour market in the Czech Republic using the theory of social construction of target groups. The aim of this thesis is to understand the development of the form of the observed policy that arises from the expected development of social construction of the chosen target group and its political power within a given period of time. To understand the problem and putting the topic was based on thematic analysis and study of the documents presented to readers of historical and social development status of persons with disabilities in society. Monitored period from the nineties to the present, which was divided into shorter periods. In these periods, the final policy design was identified by way of the interviews with addressed experts. The experts expressed their opinions also on the development of social construction and political power of the target group, which was supported by the study of the documents. The contents of the targeted policies were observed and the benefits or burdens for the target group were distinguished within the contents. The concept of an average consumer under Czech and European law

1 The concept of an average consumer under Czech and European law RESUMÉ: The thesis is focused on the role of a so called average consumer under the law of unfair competition; namely concerning advertising and misleading labelling. The concept of an average consumer is being analysed under written law as well as in jurisprudence. The Czech and European laws are emphasized but other legal systems are also mentioned. A description of a current situation and history of the concept are accompanied by considerations de lege ferenda. Mainly the term consumer is being criticized as not quite suitable within the context of unfair competition. Unlike under the contract law, here the consumer does not represent an acting entity but a target or a prey. The current trend of weakening consumer's position-and therefore exaggeration's easing in advertising-is also criticized. Generally speaking, the advertising as such is being denounced; in particular because it harms the consumer and thus it is buck passing to speak about a consumer's protection while protecting and helping a competitor in reality. The thesis deals with practical impacts of misleading labelling on a consumer (and/or a competitor). Potential of cryptocurrencies in international trade

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the current development of cryptocurrencies, present information about their current state of development, introduce to four largest projects (Bitcoin, Ethereum, litecoin, Ripple) and to evaluate functioning of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology in the context of start-ups and financial institutions. As a part of this work there is also provided an overview of legislation over cryptocurrencies globally, in the context of the European Union and the Czech Republic. Then there are also presented the actual use of technology, cutting-edge start-ups and their products. Finally the thesis evaluates the intersection of startups into different sectors and presents the views of experts working in various fields of economy.
Greek debt crisis

Bachelor thesis deals with the evolution of the Greek debt crisis and is trying to best describe on the historical context, what led to it gradually. It deals with the history to the emergence of crisis and then focuses on crisis period between 2009 to 2015. The aim is to determine whether the latest rescue package was based on objective requirements of the Greek economy. The first chapter deals with the process of macroeconomic indicators and is also dedicated to the low competitiveness of Greece. The second chapter discusses the history of Greece until 2009, which can be regarded as the beginning of the debt crisis. The third chapter deals with the evolution of the crisis from 2009 to 2012. In the fourth chapter, I analyze the conformity of a Memorandum of Understanding with the real needs of the Greek economy to its recovery.
Exchange rate policy of People's Bank of China under pressure of yuan internationalization

Chinese economy has reached its export limits and is located in an era of transformation process into new economic model based on domestic consumption and sector of services. Under pressure from foreign entities which require internationalization of yuan as an implementation of free floating exhange rate regime, China must deal with number of problems arising from the process of economic transformation. This thesis examines possible solutions to current problems from the perspective of exchange rate policy of the People's Bank of China.
Foreign exchange interventions as an "unconventional" monetary policy tool

The thesis analyses the issue of foreign exchange interventions, discovers its historical conditionality and introduces them to the context of other monetary policy instruments. For the purpose of author`s own research, key event is represented by the last financial crisis which determined significant changes in the basic economic fundamentals of foreign exchange interventions on the global level. Synthetizing publicly available information current trends in the development of this phenomenon were identified. Thesis analyses foreign exchange interventions also from the microeconomic perspective. In this sense, the research subject was presented by central banks of two economies (Australia and Czech Republic) which actively used interventions on foreign exchange market in the past. In order to solve given hypotheses scientific studies and statistical data published by international organizations were used, for example IMF or BIS, but also official reports of central banks
The foreign exchange interventions of Czech national bank in 2013

This bachelor thesis analyzes development of selected macroeconomic indicators. In 2013 the foreign exchange interventions has started by Czech national bank. CNB made a commitment that the exchange rate is on the level of 27 CZK/EUR. The main reason for implementation of this foreign exchange interventions was the risk of deflation. In this thesis there is shown the analysis of macroeconomic indicators before and after implementation of the foreign exchange interventions. In the end there is an evaluation of the development selected macroeconomic indicators.
Analysis of Spain’s public debt

The following Bachelor's dissertation offers an analysis of Spain's public debt, with focus on its emergence and development, its economic characteristics, and macroeconomic indicators. Possible causes and consequences of the current state of the Spanish economy in 2014 will be reviewed. Further, the development of other EU countries will be overviewed and compared, focusing on the period of the global financial crisis between 2008 and 2014. Finally, an attempt will be made to foreshadow the future of the Spanish economy.
Inflation in EU member countries in the context of the crisis period 2008 – 201

This bachelor thesis focuses on inflation in EU member countries during the crisis period of 2008 - 2013. The aim is to analyze inflation trends in the EU in the context of current economic crisis and monetary regimes. The first theoretical chapter summarizes theoretical basis, types, causes and consequences of inflation, methods of measurement and principles of the inflation targeting regime. The second chapter examines development of inflation during this period based on Eurostat's data about consumer prices measured by harmonized indices of consumer prices. This paper does not analyze each of twenty seven member countries. Rather, according to monetary policy regimes are countries divided into groups, from which individual countries are selected for detailed analyses. The third and final chapter analyzes the context, causes and consequences of inflation trends in the European Union. Inflation trends are analyzed on the basis of data presented in the second chapter in the context of monetary policy regimes, and specific decisions of central banks in response to economic and financial crisis, expressed by macroeconomic indicators. Methods of description, analysis and comparison are used. Due to the topicality of the issues analysed, the bibliography cites mainly electronic sources such as statistical databases and information provided by central banks. Printed resources are also cited, in order to support arguments and theoretical basis.
