3D analysis of rapid alternating movements in spasticity
Hradecká, Marie ; Hojková, Klára (advisor) ; Honzátková, Lenka (referee)
Spasticity is a manifestation of a central motoneuron disorder; the cause of the disorder may be trauma, ischemia, hemorrhage, inflammation or tumor. Even nowadays, it is difficult to define the pathophysiological mechanisms of spasticity, as well as to establish treatment. The aim of this study was to examine the immediate and long-term effect of rapid alternating movements training on stride length in the affected lower limb in spastic paresis. The theoretical part is devoted to a summary of the knowledge about central motoneuron syndrome, examination and its treatment. The practical part includes examination and evaluation of the effect of of rapid alternating movements exercises using 3D kinematic analysis and a questionnaire.
The Performance of Masculinity in the Milieu of Czech Extreme Metal
Hradecká, Anna Marie ; Zdrálek, Vít (advisor) ; Turek, Pavel (referee)
Using a method of reflexive ethnography, this thesis deals with a question of masculinity performace in the Czech extreme metal milieu (to be specific I am concerned with the brutal death metal and related sub-genres). Participants of the brutal death metal subculture either in the position of performers or audience are with a very few exceptions men. Brutality, harshness, extremeness and other values are the main aesthetic criteria, which - as we can observe while doing the research - the participants connect with a coherent collection of ideas about a certain ideal of dominant manhood. To achieve these values to the greatest extent possible the musicians use particular musical features and topics of the compositions; and so does both the musicians and the audience via their visual image, with using specific kind of behaviour and having fixed movements and dancing during the music production. On the basis of an analysis of these values and means of their manifestation I am concerned with the question of what specific characteristics the masculine identity, which is performed in the given subculture, has. My research data show that these are: 1) mutual affinity with the other participants, 2) power as an ability of an aggressive attack as well as one's own endurance, and 3) coarseness, lack of...

Secondary prevention of back pain using meditation of mindfulness
Hradecká, Marie ; Herbenová, Alena (advisor) ; Vacek, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work was to verify the effectiveness of the proposed secondary prevention of back pain in cervical and thoracic spine in women working at the computer. The program was introduced into a normal business day and was either just motion or added meditation. The effect of the movement program (for all women) and the influence of meditation (half of the women) on selected items (intensity of pain, stress, anxiety, regularity of exercise) were monitored. The study lasted for seven weeks and was attended by six women who were divided into two groups. The first group only performed the motion program, and the women in the second group above that meditated. The preventive program itself proved to be successful in reducing pain and improving posture. From the results, it can be seen that meditation may positively influence the course of the preventive program to a certain extent, namely regularity in exercise, intensity of pain, stress and anxiety. Key words: back pain, meditation, working environment
Mirko Očadlík's Study "Woman in Czech Music" in the Context of the "Czech Woman in National History" Anthology (1940)
Hradecká, Anna Marie ; Havelková, Tereza (advisor) ; Havelková, Hana (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals critically with the topic of the contemporary discourse on the status and professional involvement of women in Czech music, as formulated in Mirko Očadlík's study Woman in Czech Music [Žena v české hudbě] published in the Czech Woman in National History [Česká žena v dějinách národa] anthology (1940). In this thesis my critical aparatus is based on theoretical reflections of feminist musicology (a critique of the musical canon of Western art music tradition), cultural anthropology and feminist philosophy. The topic offers a range of other issues suitable for further research, and it also contributes to the debate on understanding the position of women in Czech music.
