Comparision of participation in physical activities of secondery school students and primary school pupils in Prague

Title: Comparison of participation in physical activities of secondary school students and primary school pupils in Prague Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to find and compare the participation in extracurricular physical and sport activities of Prague's secondary school students and Prague's primary school pupils based on questionnaire survey and following evaluation of the obtained data. Methods: The research was realized using the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was designed specifically for this research. Results: The research results suggest that the physical activities are comparatively expanded among secondary school students and primary school pupils in Prague. It has been statistically proven that primary school pupils are interested in physical activities in organized form more than secondary school students. There are not significant statistical differences between primary school pupils and secondary school students in the frequency of doing physical activities. Title: Study of selected sports facilities specialized in gymnastic sports in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Norway Objectives: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to compare selected sports facilities specialized in gymnastic sports in the Czech Republic with similar facilities in Denmark and Norway, gain new knowledge about this specific area of providing sport service and from the results of this study compile an improved model for establishing and running of a new sports facility specialized in gymnastic sports in the area of the Czech Republic's capital city. Methods: In this thesis were primarily used qualitative methods of research in the form of an interview, which was done with the representatives of selected sports facilities providing similar services. The information gathered from the interview and from the method of analysis of texts and documents were further processed by the comparison method (case study comparison). The final model for establishing and running of a new sports facility specialized in gymnastic sports was compiled using the methods of observing, analogy and SWOT analysis. Title: Conditions for the organized and unorganized sport children aged 11-15 years in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav Targets: The aim of this thesis is find out the relation of children aged 11-15 years in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav to sports activities and find out their satisfaction with the spatial and material conditions for the sport. Methods: To obtain the necessary data was used the method of quantitative empirical research using questionnaires. It was also used data analysis and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were processed by PC programs Microsoft Excel and Statistica. Results: The results of the survey revealed satisfaction of the respondents with the conditions for the organized and unorganized sport in the city. It was also found out what kinds of sports facilities and sports clubs are missed by the respondents in Brandýs nad Labem - Stará Boleslav. Ethical, Social, and Political Dimension of Doping in the Field of Sport

Title: Ethical, Social and Political Dimension of Doping in the Field of Sport Objectives: To work up the issue of doping, a brief overview of doping agents and methods, history of doping and antidoping (doping organization, doping control and sanctions). Assess the issue of doping in sport from the perspective of ethical, social and political. Mapping anchoring doping issues in documents or legislation of the Czech Republic and the EU, to reveal the causes and consequences of doping and the prevention and repression as an integral part of the antidoping activities and also to the education of athletes. Methods: The dissertation has a theoretic character, uses qualitative methods: compares, analyse and interprets texts from publications and sources. It draws own conclusions from these bases. Results: This dissertation clears up the issue of doping in the dimensions of ethical, social and political. Collected and interprets virtually all relevant documents, on global scale. Emphasizes the need to combine prevention and repression in the fight against doping and the importance of education in the spirit of sport and the Olympic ideas. Title: Financing of promoting physical activity by the towns with extended scope Aims: Purpose of this work is to explore and analyze condition of financing of promoting physical activity in the towns with extended scope in Czech Republic. I am focusing on budget of towns with extended scope, analyzing of sport financing in these towns, analyzing of profit or loss of sport facilities, utilization of grants, the citizen attitude with this problem and the functionality of departments of sport. Methods: The work is descriptively-analytical. Collecting of data is done by recherché and questionnaire. Analysis and comparison will be used for evaluation of data. I will research whether the number of population is correlated with the amount of money put into the promotion of physical activity and with the number of workers in the Sports Department etc. Results: The towns with extended scope are recognized the importance of physical activities and they are very active to seek financial resources to support them. However, in many smaller municipalities with extended scope is not personnel involved in the sport at all, or this issue is passed on someone as a part-time. Analysis of the ice hockey stadium in Mělník and the proposal of marketing plan

Title: Analysis of the ice hockey stadium in Mělník and the proposal of marketing plan Objectives: The aim of this work is to elaborate analyzes of the state of the ice hockey stadium in Melnik and to create a proposal of a marketing plan for the stadium. The plan should serve to a more efficient functioning of the entire ice rink in the following years. Methods: The work analyzes years 2011-2013 where it focuses on the utilization of the ice surface, public skating hours and skating schools and analysis revenues and expenditures in the same period. Interviewing visitors, and competitive analysis of stadiums around Melnik were carried out. All values obtained from analyzes were subsequently compared with the national average values obtained from KPMG research. Results: The analyses identified the potential in greater efficiency of utilization of the ice surface and rental of advertising space. When comparing public financing is Melnik's stadium to the national average in the same size cities it turns out that Melnik's stadium is underfunded. Comparison of the operation of selected ice stadiums in Prague.

Title: Comparison of the operation of selected ice stadiums in Prague. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to compare selected ice stadiums to each others by using analysis. Furthrmore, the thesis should show the opportunities and threats of teh selected ice stadiums. Methods: The case analysis was chosen as the main research method. In the preparation of this analysis other methods, such as intentional selection, document analysis and semi-structured interview were applied. Based on the results the SWOT analysis was developed. Through this method the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the selected ice stadiums. SLEPT analysis was used to recognize factors, that affects selected ice stadiums. Results: The analysis shows that every single ice stadium is able to assure enough clients. Some cooperate with nearby schools, others are linked with ice hockey club. Three of selected ice stadiums are able to make profit, two are able not to lose money and two were not willing to provide their econimic information. It was also recognized, that there is a huge need to reconstruct some parts in almost every single ice stadium. We could also see that it is important to reach some money from grants. Impact of extracurricular regular physical activity on physical fitness components in preschool chilrden

Title: Influence of regular extracurricular physical activity on components of physical fitness in preschoolers children Objectives: To determine whether regular physical extracurricular activity has an effect on the components of physical fitness. Methods: The research population consisted of 26 probands aged 5 and 6 years, who were exposed to an 8-month movement intervention that focused on all-round movement development in the form of after-school physical activity. The quasi-experimental and analytical methods were used in this study. The measured values were analyzed using paired T-Test for data with normal distribution and Wilcoxon paired test for data with non-normal distribution. In the investigation, we used motor tests namely: shuttle run 10x5m, long jump from standing, Pavlik's test,, flamingo 30s, seated lying 30s, pull up test, flexibility in sitting, body weight and body height of probands. Result: After processing the results of the research set, there was a significant improvement in all of the following tests: shuttle run 10x5m, long jump, Pavlik's test, pull up test, flamingo 30s, sit-up 30s. Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic

Title: Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic Objectives: One of the aims of this diploma thesis was to analyse the current offer of accredited educational events DVPP (further education of educational workers) in the field of physical education. We were interested in data concerning the form and focus of events, hourly subsidy, number of expected participants, and participation fee. Another aim of this thesis was to find out what attitude teachers of physical education have in relation to their further continuous education. Among other things, we were interested in how often they participate in this education and what forms of educational events they find most suitable regarding the subject of physical education. Methods: In the first phase, the data obtained from the databases of granted accreditations in the DVPP system managed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, were analysed. The data in the next part were obtained using an own questionnaire survey, which elementary and high school teachers of physical education have participated in.
