Comparison of Methods for Testing Muscle Imbalances (EMG and Funkcion Tests) and Effect of Compensatory Exercises on this Imbalances

Title: Comparison of methods of muscle imbalance testing (EMG and functional tests) and the effect of compensatory exercise on these disorders. Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to find out whether and to what extent compensatory exercises, which are performed at different time periods, have a positive effect on muscle imbalances of football players. Partial objective is to find out attitude of tested football players' to healthy lifestyle and influence of their eating habits on their physical condition, especially on the share of body fat and muscle imbalance. The second partial objective is to chart eating habits and interest in a healthy lifestyle of adolescent athletes and to create the proposal of bad habits correction and improvement of lifestyle with regard to increased physical load and individual needs of respondents. The objective of this survey is also to find out whether the dietary habits of college and secondary school students in Roudnice nad Labem are influenced by the absence of providing lunches through the school canteen. Basics of Molecular Biology at Secondary Schools by Hands-on Activities

The aim of this study is to prepare and verify a molecular biological teaching cycle. This cycle is focused on hands-on activities, critical thinking and student's activity. A total of 99 pupils from two elementary schools (9th grade) and one multi-year grammar school (equivalent to primary schools) participated in the verification. They helped to create an attractive learning cycle from molecular biology, which can be used directly without major modifications and low cost.

Model Systems in the Study and Teaching of Molecular Biology

Molecular biology and genetics are currently very fast developing disciplines. One of the possibilities how to increase the pupils' interest in studying of molecular biology and genetics, and to support their own curiosity is to use research-based teaching strategies. Although Czech Education tries to correspond with this progress, teaching of molecular biology and genetics is limited not only by financial and material limits but also by a lack of vocational education. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the position of molecular biology in teaching and model systems in the study and teaching of molecular biology and genetics. The practical part is divided into three chapters. The goal of the first chapter was to present available teaching materials suitable for a teaching at grammar schools, especially with regard to the availability of manuals for practical seminars. The second chapter summarized the results of a questionnaire survey among grammar school teachers, which concerns the position of molecular biology and genetics in teaching. Longitudinal Study of Children Growth in Central Bohemia and Prague with Respect to the Development of Passing Basic School Education

For my dissertation, I have chosen to monitor and research growing children in Prague and in the Central Bohemian Region. Primarily, I am interested in the growth period of the younger school age (which corresponds to the first degree of compulsory school attendance). However, I also monitored and worked with the growth data of infant and pre-school aged children. The reason for this is that I needed the growth data from a longer period of time for a better assessment. I am really interested in the area of child anthropology because I belive the growth of every child is essential for their future. The final height and weight of the individual, specifically his/her total body proportions, can have a significant influence on their next life. I am convinced that this can have a major influence on the health, social application and self-confidence for each of us. Thanks to a very willing approach of a Prague pediatrician I managed to accumulate the growth data of children living in Prague. I would like to compare the obtained data with the data of children living in the Central Bohemian Region.
