My Bachelor thesis deals with the design and review of a bearing steel structure of the roof of indoor pool building. The construction is of rectangular shape with dimensions of 28 x 46 m and its height is 7.5 m. Bearing structure consists of 11 transversal bindings, placed 4.6m per width of between each. Transversal binding consists of cantilevered columns and jointly set saddle trusses. All the calculations are done according to relevant ČSN EN directives.
Genital and subjective sexual arousal in response to the copulatory movements of different animal species
Eliášová, Kristýna ; Bártová, Klára (advisor) ; Klapilová, Kateřina (referee)
Previously known studies on sexual arousal have indicated that men and women react differently to exposure to erotic stimuli. Male sexual arousal (both genital and subjectively reported) is in line with their reported sexual orientation, while female genital arousal is higher even for subjectively non-preferred stimuli. For men, genital sexual arousal is likely triggered by the preferred sexual object, while this may not be the case for women. One possible explanation is that female genital arousal is an automatic response to copulatory movement itself, regardless of subjective preference. However, this hypothesis has not been empirically tested yet. The aim of the research is to use an experimental design to explore the subjective and genital sexual arousal of men and women while watching copulatory movement in different animal species with varying degrees of phylogenetic relatedness to humans. A total of 30 heterosexual men and 23 heterosexual women had their subjective and genital sexual responses measured while watching 11 video stimuli. Two videos depicted penetrative sex between humans (male-female, female-female), and the other nine videos depicted copulation between animals. Both women and men showed no genital or subjective sexual arousal to non-human sexual stimuli. The results of the...
Evalution of preparedness of socially significant buildings in České Budějovice in terms of safety.
ELIÁŠOVÁ, Kristýna
The theoretical part of this thesis is divided into two notional parts. The first part deals with population protection, focusing mainly on evacuation, warning or emergency hiding. In this section, there are types of emergency exits specified and what devices can be included during evacuation. Warning is a crucial component of people's escape during an emergency situation, therefore it is essential to specify which tools can be used to warn people. The second part focuses on fire safety. There are types of fire documentation listed. A building has to have these documents compiled. To ensure the safety of people, it is important to organize regular training courses of fire safety for the employees, therefore it is an important section of the thesis. In the practical part of the thesis, a survey was carried out in a form of semi-structured interview with the head of safety department of chosen buildings in České Budějovice. The information acquired during the interviews were evaluated using SWOT analysis, which focuses on strong or weak aspects, opportunities and threats. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the preparedness in the socially significant buildings in České Budějovice in terms of fire safety and population protection. The goal was to answer two research questions: "How are the buildings prepared in terms of fire protection?" and "How are the buildings and employees prepared in terms of population protection?" The results have shown that not every building is one hundred percent secure. The reasons are the different types of buildings, their age and possible investments into the reconstruction and purchase of new equipment.
Internal structure of the Balkan refugium using Erinaceus roumanicus as a model organism
Eliášová, Kristýna ; Černá Bolfíková, Barbora (advisor) ; Zemanová, Barbora (referee)
The aim of this work was to describe the spatial distribution of genetic variability of the northern white-breasted hedgehog (E. roumanicus), mainly within the Balkan Peninsula and Central Europe, as these areas are crucial for understanding the effects of Pleistocene climate oscillations on the genetic architecture of the species. Based on this spatial distribution, hypotheses about the possible structuring of the Balkan refugia were formulated. A total of 260 individuals and 9 microsatellite loci were used for the analysis. Using the approach of landscape and population genetics several possible isolated subpopulations within the area surveyed were identified. Unique status was proved for a population originating from Crete, probably influenced by mechanisms of island evolution. Differences from the rest of the range were ascertained also in population from the Czech Republic, located in a secondary contact zone with the E. europeaus. The role of interspecific interactions and possible introgression should be considered in this case. In the area of Romania and the area south of the Balkan Peninsula the highest genetic distances between individuals were identified, probably associated with the occurrence of geographical barriers and the possible presence of glacial subrefugia. Other identified...
Diversity, distribution and genetic structure of the tribe Pipistrellini
Eliášová, Kristýna ; Hulva, Pavel (advisor) ; Fornůsková, Alena (referee)
This literature review discusses phylogenetic relationships within the family Vespertilionidae with a detailed focus on tribus Pipistrellini relations and then the individual genera and species within this tribe. A historical summary of efforts to resolve the phylogenetic relationships within the taxon first on the basis of morphological studies, comparison of karyotype and most recently on the basis of genetic markers. Mitochondrial genetic markers are useful in studying phylogeography, as this paper shows on the example of the Pipistrellus species complex and on species Nyctalus azoreum, Nyctalus leisleri, Nyctalus noctula and Pipistrellus abramus. Furthermore, this work describes the current distribution of individual taxa of tribe, the fossil record and migration behavior of European temperate species in the context of their population structure (also studied in some species using mtDNA and microsatellites) and Annex shows the areas extending all five genera Pipistrellini tribe. Key words: Pipistrellini, phylogenenetics, phylogeography, distribution, population structure
Physical eligibility of applicants for admission to the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic and the Police of the Czech Republic.
ELIÁŠOVÁ, Kristýna
The aim of this work was to assess and evaluate the results of the physical ability of the applicants in the tests for the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as FRS CR) and the Police of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Police). Another goal was to compare the success rate of the physical tests for the FRS CR and the Police. In the theoretical part I analyzed what the whole admission procedure is composed of and what the conditions for admission to the security services are. There are detailed dispositions and conditions of the disciplines for the two tests. To compare the difficulty of the tests in our country and abroad, part of this work is dedicated to the USA disciplines. A form of qualitative research was chosen for the practical part of this work. This research is based on the accomplishment of the individual tests. In order to answer the research question, "What is the success rate of managing physical tests for admission to the employment?" I chose the form of accomplishing the individual disciplines with eleven men up to 21 years of age, who are physically active at least twice a week. These tests were divided into the endurance and strength tests, which we performed at the professional sports facilities as it would be in normal admissions. I evaluated the results according to the tables of the individual security corps legislation. The results have proved that the tests for the FRS CR are more difficult than for the Police of the Czech Republic. I rate the success rate in the tests for the FRS in a negative way, as only 23% of the respondents succeeded. The success rate for the Police tests was higher, in which 64% of the respondents completed the tests successfully. The results of these men also show that the physical ability of current younger generation is at a bad level and people should work on their physical fitness.
