Photocatalytic properties of hybrid titania-silica layers
Sekerová, Kateřina ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the preparation of hybrid titania-silica layers. Titanium tetraisopropoxide and tetraethyl orthosilicate with Levasil were used as the precursors for TiO2 and SiO2 synthesis, respectively. The layers were deposited on substrates by material printing. Furthermore, this work is focused on the study of the rheological properties of TiO2-SiO2 sol and characterization of prepared films by XRD, SEM, ellipsometry, AFM, pencil hardnes test, optical microscopy. Optical properties were also characterized by transmitance and reflectance measurement and the functionality of these layers was demonstrated by a stearic acid degradation experiment.

Kynclová, Hana ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
Nowadays it is attached to a major effort to study applications of nanoparticles in biosensors technology. We studied the effect of gold nanoparticles on the surface of the electrodes by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy method and Cyclic Voltammetry. For impedance measurements was proposed substitute electrical model and cyclic voltammetry method was used to determine the electroactive surface of electrodes.

Roček, Vojtěch ; Urbánková, Kateřina (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creation nanostructured surfaces of titanium dioxide and the use of photocatalytic activity of these surfaces for antimicrobial applications. The work is divided into nine main chapters, in which the literature search for producing these surfaces, the principle of photocatalysis and their typical specifics was made. These theoretical findings are then used to form such layers, analyzing their chemical and physical properties and practical verification of their antimicrobial activity. This work experimentally verified processes to ensure the increase of antimicrobial activity. The results and findings are discussed in the conclusion.

Připravované hydrolyzáty alkoxidů titanu a nanočástice oxidu titaničitého připravené z hydrolyzátů jsou studovány metodami XRD, DTA – TGA, SEM – EDS, BET a PCCS. Fotokatalytická aktivita vybraných připravených materiálů byla studována pomocí dekompozice methylenové modři v roztoku a par isopropanolu a ethanolu rozkládaných pomocí Mn-Zn feritu v experimentálním chemickém reaktoru s magnetickým polem stabilizovaným ložem nosiče katalyzátoru.
Electrochemical preparation of fluorescence sensor with highly ordered nanostructured surface
Bedlek, Marek ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
This work deals with fabrication and examination of optical properties of self-ordered TiO2 and Au quantum dots array and its potential usage in medicine as optical sensor for biomolecules detection. Controlled anodization of Ti through Al2O3 template was chosen as a fabrication method for TiO2 QDs, in case of Au galvanic deposition through Al2O3 template onto beforehand prepared TiO2 QDs or substrate with dimple structure. The influence of anodization and deposition conditions on the final structure of QDs and their emission spectrum is also examined.
Printed UV senor based on photoelectrochemical cell
Vičarová, Monika ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the construction of a photoelectrochemical cell, which is used for detection of ultraviolet radiation by means of generated photocurrent in dependence on the intensity of incident radiation. The cell construction is based on a carbon electrode system with a titanium dioxide sensory layer and a UV curable electrolyte. Printing techniques such as screen printing, inkjet printing and pad printing were used to deposit individual layers. Carbon electrodes with sensory layer were studied through profilometric analysis, optical microscopy, and four-point probes. The viscosity of the liquid formulation of uncured electrolyte was characterized by rheometric measurement. Photoelectrochemical properties of the prepared cell for use as a UV sensor were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry.
Synthesis of SiO2/Au core/shell nanoparticles for enhancement of OCT signal
Kantorová, Martina ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is synthesis of SiO2/Au core/shell nanoparticles. These nanoparticles should improve the signal of optical coherence tomography (OCT). The procedure of nanoparticle synthesis is described in the work. Synthetized nanoparticles were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Ultraviolet-Visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Dynamic light scattering (DLS). Then, the synthetized nanoparticles were tested for enhancement of OCT signal. For this testing were also used commercial nanoparticles with the same structure and similar size.
Optical sensor for UV radiation
Třešňáková, Andrea ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with monitoring of photocatalytic activity on prepared optical sensors for UV illumination. A polymeric matrix was prepared based on the redox dye Acid Red 1, titanium dioxide and calibration agents. The deposition of matrix was done by material printing – roll-to-roll printer – on PET film. This resulted in optical dosimeter for UV illumination. Finally, the validity of the reciprocity law was proved.
Biofunctionalization of deposited quantum dots
Jakubechová, Jana ; Venerová, Tereza (referee) ; Drbohlavová, Jana (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to functionalize the deposited quantum dots (QDs). QDs are prepared thanks to nanoporous alumina template in process of anodic oxidation of Ti film on a silicon wafer followed with modification of gold in process of pulse deposition. The final objective is the subsequent observation of fluorescent properties changes. QDs shows outstanding optical characteristics which can be used for labeling and imaging in biological systems. Thanks to their unique fotostability, they allow long term observation of biomolecules.
