Surface Plasmon Resonances on Colloidal Nanoparticles
Beránek, Jiří ; Brzobohatý,, Oto (referee) ; Šikola, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is focused on the Localized Surface Plasmons (LSP). The far-field optical response of the colloidal solutions of gold nanoparticles caused by LSP was investigated and compared with the numerical calculations. For the simulations, the Discrete Dipole Approximation (DDA) and Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD) techniques were employed. In particular, the shape and size effects of spherical particles and nanorods were studied. The simulations performed by both methods are in a good agreement for the spheres. For the nanorods, the resonance was found to be affected markedly by their geometry. Also, broader resonance peaks were found. This effect was assigned to the sample size distribution and its influence is discussed by comparing the simulations with experiments. In addition, synthesis of nanorods was carried out as well. Finally, the results on the study of optical properties of silver clusters formed under equilibrium conditions are presented.
Growth ultrathin of layers Au
Beránek, Jiří ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to study growth of ultrathin gold layers prepared by MBE (Molecular beam epitaxy) in UHV conditions. Differently modified sillicon served as a substrate and depositions were done at different temperatures of a substrate. Samples were analyzed by ToF LEIS for thickness, morfology was examined by SEM and AFM. X-ray photoelectron spectra were taken for chemical analysis. Gathered data together with their evaluation contribute to description and understanding of some processes during deposition and subsequent exposure of the sample to high temperatures. Experimental data and conslusions also prowide basis for further experiments and development of potential applications.
Financial support for sport at the municipal level: Analysis of rules and genesis of their creation
Beránek, Jiří ; Král, Pavel (advisor) ; Vopátek, Jiří (referee)
Diploma thesis Financial support for sport at the municipal level: Analysis of the rules and genesis of their work deals with the concept of sport support in the Czech Republic, its financing and financial support at the municipal level. The aim of this work was to analyze the financing of sport in three towns in the Vysočina Region in Třebíč, Jihlava and Náměšť nad Oslavou and to find out whether there are rules for the allocation of funds from urban budgets to support sport. By analyzing the documents of individual cities and interviewing them, it was found out how many percent of the city budget goes to support the sport. The rules for their division are individual in relation to sport in a particular city. Partial analysis of the work can serve, for example, individual cities as a basis for other sports strategies following the Act on Sport Promotion No. 115/2001 Coll.

Jazz in Music Activities
Beránek, Jiří ; Minářová Výborná, Terezie (referee) ; Nedělka, Michal (advisor)
Music of jazz sphere and more generally the whole branch of non-artistic music (perhaps with the exception of domestic folklore) remained in this country, as well as in the world for a long period out of the scope of both musical education and musicology. This situation has however changed profoundly during the last fifty years: modem popular music especially since 1960s has been gradually creeping into curricula, teaching plans and textbooks of musical education (and let us believe into its teaching practice too); special conservatory for this type of music was found and modern popular music is also a part of a college education of musical branch. Theory and history of non-artistic music has become newly crystallizing and very expanding discipline of musicology (besides theory and history of musical interpretation and musical semiotics). Especially in the U.S., the study of such discipline has become connected with already established awareness that in case of music of jazz sphere we are dealing with specifically American music, which is therefore appropriate subject for exploring American national culture and its heritage. The application of technical analysis in chosen international markets
Beránek, Jiří ; Plchová, Božena (advisor) ; Nigrinová, Lenka (referee)
Diploma thesis focuses on the practical methods and application of technical analysis in international markets. Thesis is divided in three thematic parts. The first one focuses on the history and basic concepts of international exchange markets, futures contracts and the definition of basic terms which are essential for understanding the markets. Second part focuses on the methods of technical analysis which can be divided in two sections -- technical indicators and price action. All mentioned instruments are shown in real market data and charts. Third part focuses on the application of technical analysis in a chosen international market. The application goes through our trading system which combines appropriate technical indicators with price action formation supplemented by methods of money management. Several simulations were made on tested real historical data. The simulations differed in money management settings (automated stoploss tracking, Kelly's formula, Fixed ratio). To find the worst possible trading scenario was used Monte Carlo analysis.
The Online trading of commodities
Beránek, Jiří ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Michálek, Libor (referee)
The bachelor thesis has goals to analyze the possibilities of online commodities trading and presents the methods how to trade electronically with a profit. The main topic is an intraday trading, which can be only executed online effectively. The bachelor thesis is divided in three parts. The first part contains the history and reasons of the futures contract's origin, the present keystones of electronic and floor (pit) exchange systems and their trends. The first part contains basic terms, which are necessary for a orientation in the commodities markets. The second part is concern on technical analysis. All mentioned facts are presented on real data. The third part is the most important. It concerns on the building of own trading system and money management. Except general amenable techniques the author presents own trading system and he backs all up with own trading results, detailed analyses and experience.
