Drop forging of gear wheel

The project elaborated design of technology production of gear wheel from circular blanks of steel 12 050. Pursuant to of the literary pursuit a problem of the die forging and calculation was designed manufacturing process. Dies proposal will be based on relevant standards, materials die steel will be 19 552. Given the complexity of the shape and dimensions of the gear will be used in three operations. Based on the calculated forging force was chosen vertical forging sheet LMZ 1600 A/S with a nominal power of 16 MN. Due to the use of the press die is provided with an ejector.
Cross-cultural comparison of reality show Love is Blind (USA, Brazil, Japan)

This final thesis titled as "Cross-cultural comparison of reality show Love Is Blind (USA, Brazil, Japan)" focuses on the adaptation of the popular reality show Love Is Blind in the USA, Brazil, and Japan. The aim of the thesis is to analyze how the physical separation of contestants is reflected in the different cultural versions of the show with an emphasis on presenting these differences. The thesis is divided into two main parts which are the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical one defines the topic with focus on the phenomenon of reality shows in general, followingly various types of this genre and examples of specific shows. It also includes an cross-cultural comparison using Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions Theory. The practical part of the thesis includes the characteristics of the research, the actual analysis and results. The thesis is a qualitative content analysis with elements of narrative analysis. For the purposes of the research are used all episodes from the first series of each selected adaptation. In total, it is thirty-seven episodes which are available on the streaming platform Netflix. Sabina Růžičková Abstract The diploma work "Media portrayal of Warsaw pact invasion to Czechoslovakia in selected Italian newspapers" brings closer look at this historical phenomena from the view of several Italian newspapers. The task was to analyze journals published on the Apennine Peninsula and their reporting about this invasion regarding their political profile. The examined units were the form, the content and size of reports. In the beginning of my thesis, I was trying to provide a closer look at the situation in Czechoslovakia in 1968, the process of becoming more liberal and free, which was violently interrupted in August 1968 by the Warsaw troops. In the end of my diploma, I used a comparative historical analysis to see how the particular Italian media informed its readers about the situation and how much they different in the point of view at the situation
Influence of romantic comedies on young adults'perception of relationships

The diploma thesis "Influence of romantic comedies on young adults' perception of relationships" focuses on the effect of the consumption of romantic comedies. The goal of the thesis is to whether a correlation exists between the consumption of romantic comedies and young adults' attitudes towards romantic relationships, including their opinions, ideas, expectations, and relationship behavior. The theoretical section introduces romantic comedies as a movie genre. It presents the history of the genre, key practices and approaches, and typical characteristics. The work further describes how audio-visual media can potentially influence the audience, presents major theoretic approaches to audience research, and summarizes current knowledge and results in the field of the influence of romantic comedies. The following practical section shows the process and results of the research, which was done using a mixed approach including mainly interviews with young adults. In contrast to previous research, this work emphasized a gender-equal research sample to describe the influence on men as well, even though they are not the primary target group. Analysis of differences in perception of female and male sports reporters by sport's viewers

This bachelor's thesis deals with a topic that falls within the field of sports journalism, namely the topic of audience perception of female sports reporters. Specifically, it seeks to find out how female reporters in Formula 1 are viewed by the audience. This thesis seeks to shed light on this issue through its own research and by explaining relevant theoretical concepts such as gender and stereotype. Furthermore, it summarises social role theory, highlights the challenges that female sports journalists face during their careers and also discusses related research already conducted within the theoretical part of this thesis. The analytical part of the thesis includes both qualitative and quantitative research and thus analyses the issue from two different perspectives. The qualitative research contained in this thesis is an analysis of in-depth interviews with Formula 1 fans. This analysis is followed by quantitative research, which includes a questionnaire that is constructed based on the information gathered from the in-depth interviews. The questionnaire also contains audio-visual samples, so that respondents who do not follow Formula 1 can also express their opinion. The qualitative data is collected through a questionnaire survey. The role of media and media messages in the series Vyprávěj

The thesis entitled The Role of Media and Media Messages in the TV series Vyprávěj deals with the use of media and media messages in all episodes of the popular Czech television series Vyprávěj. The thesis looks at all the roles of media and media messages in the series and how the creators of the series used them. It also takes into account what specific media are introduced in the series and how the characters of the series come into contact with them. In the theoretical part, representatives of the most famous Czech and Czechoslovak family series are introduced, one of them being the Vyprávěj series. It is introduced in the following chapter, along with its creators, the characters that appear in the series, awards and the opinions of experts and viewers. Subsequently, the Czechoslovak media environment in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s and the Czech one in the 1990s and the beginning of the new millennium are also presented in several pages. Space is also given to samizdat and exile media, advertising and the internet. In the practical part, the series Vyprávěj is analysed in terms of the use of media and media messages. Širým světem of Stanislav Nikolau. Geographical magazine 1924 - 1944

The diploma thesis deals with the magazine "Širým světem", which was managed by Stanislav Nikolau (1878-1950), a prominent figure in the public life of the First Czechoslovak Republic. Based on a historical analysis of primary sources, placed in context by the study of secondary literature, it completes Nikolau's personality including his views orientation that is based on the ideas of the nationalist right-wing, with a strong anti-Communist orientation, through the leadership of the Czech fascist movement Vlajka to the anti-Semitic rhetoric. The thesis presents his rich activity in the pedagogical, journalistic, and editorial field and does not omit his professional work that was always closely intertwined with geography. However, it is an analysis of the non-fictional periodical "Širým světem. The Geographical Magazine", founded by Nikolau for young readers in 1924 that is the core of the thesis. The magatine's content also corresponded to that − it included adventure stories, short stories and original travel reports that − in addition to the resilience of the human spirit − also reflected the diversity of geographical conditions especially on non-European continents. The role and utilization the ballet company in the Czechoslovak television in 70s and 80s of the 20th century

This thesis deals with the role and utilization of the ballet company in Czechoslovak Television programmes in the 1970s and 1980s. The author first introduces the reader to the context of the chosen topic. Using literary research, she introduces the period of normalization and the functioning of Czechoslovak Television at that time, and then captures the various definitions and divisions of dance or the characteristics of television genres, more specifically entertainment as a television genre. In the analytical part, the author traces the origin and functioning of the ballet company and its role in ČST programmes. The programmes in question are Televarieté or Kabaret u dobré pohody. In the analysis, the author also devotes space to the transformation of dance as an element of television entertainment. The information needed for this thesis was available primarily in the Czech Television's archive and programme funds. In addition, the author made extensive use of the iVysílání platform.
Contemporary Press Coverage of Student Protests at the Tiananmen Square

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse how three newspapers, namely Rudé právo, The Guardian and The New York Times, presented the student protests in Tiananmen Square in 1989. The period from 13 May 1989 to 26 June 1989 was chosen for the analysis, as it fully covers the situation preceding the massacre, the massacre of 4 June 1989 itslelf and its aftermath. In order to achieve the most accurate results, qualitative content analysis and so-called grounded theory will be used. The questions that will be answered through this thesis concern the specific aspects on which the individual newspapers placed emphasis, as well as how often the events were covered and with what temporal sequence, then which language features were used, and which reporting principles were applied within the news and journalistic texts. Based on the data collected, it was found that Rudé právo, ideologically charting communist mindset in China, held similar views to the Chinese Government, i.e. that the students attempted to overthrow the Government and the regime, and during the actual suppression of the protests, the soldiers were attacked by the students, not the other way around. The Guardian and The New York Times reported on the protests in a quite opposite way, regarding the protests as pro-democracy and the military...
Masters of Communication. The profession of Television Program Announcers

This diploma thesis Masters of Communication. The profession of Television Program Announcers deals with the origins, formation and reflection of the professional activity of television program announcers who worked in Czechoslovak and later Czech Television from 1956 to 2005. The thesis tries to reveal what factors influenced the creation, institutionalization and subsequent course of this now extinct profession. The author proceeds from a theoretical framework devoted to the communication situation of the television and definition of the communication role of the television announcers. The oral history method was used for the processing of the presented diploma thesis, in the framework of which interviews were conducted with four contemporary witnesses from the ranks of television program announcers of the time. Thanks to this method, the reflection of professional activity based on the memories of witnesses is discussed in the thesis. In addition, period documents obtained from the Archive and program funds as well as the File Archive of the Czech Television were used in order to grasp the historical-contemporary context that influenced the practice of this profession.
