Žižka, Jan ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Zdobinský, Adam (referee)
Title: Kinesiological analysis of selected techniques in greco-romain wrestling Objective: The aim of this Thesis is to measure the extent to which various muscles are involved during the practice of the wrestling technique body lock, lift and suplex. It also considers the order in which the muscles are involved. The research applies surface electromyography. Methods: The theoretical part of this Thesis is predominantly based on the method of analysis and synthesis of the specialized literature. In the practical part, the surface electromyography was used to measure which muscles are involved in the body lock, lift and suplex. Subsequently, the difference of the motion performance of the four probands was evaluated. Furthermore, the timing of muscle activation was monitored. Results: The evaluation of the result showed that musculus rectus femoris is the most involved in the movement and the least musculus obliquus externus abdominis. In addition, it was found that m. Obliquus externus abdominis is involved first, while the last one is involved with m. Biceps femoris. Key words: Wrestling, electromyography, quality of movement, muscle activation
The use of functional magnetic resonance imaging and MR tractography for neuropsychiatirc studies of cognitive functions
Ibrahim, Ibrahim ; Hájek, Milan (advisor) ; Vymazal, Josef (referee) ; Žižka, Jan (referee)
5. Summary Although conventiona! MR imaging techniques play a crucia! role in the examination of the centra!nervous system (CNS), these techniques can not give any information about functiona! properties of the brain tissue. Besides conventional MRl techniques, however, there are some MR methods enabling evaluation of these functiona! properties. These methods include functiona! magnetic resonance imaging (!MRl), diffusion-weigbted imaging (DWI) or diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and voxel based morphometry (VBM). fMRI is a method monitoring the activity of the individua! parts of the brain duriog specific tasks and thus c1arifying their functions. fMRI has become the method of choice especia!ly in neurosurgica! procedures plarming, when it is necessary to know the relative location of the pathological lesion and to localize functiona!ly important areas of the cerebra! cortex, and thereby to reduce the risk of damage associated with the neurosurgical operations. DWI and DT[ are very important methods that may be used to assess the severity of cerebra! ischemia and the integrity ofwhite matter tracts based on diffusion properties ofthe brain tissue. Voxel·based morphometry (VBM) is an objective method and fuHy automated whole brain structura! ana! ysis. Neuropathological changes in the brain tissue of...
Detection and characterization of hepatocellular liver lesions by using MRI with hepatospecific contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA
Mrklovský, Milan ; Žižka, Jan (advisor) ; Mechl, Marek (referee) ; Ferda, Jiří (referee)
Detection and characterization of hepatocellular liver lesions by using MRI with hepatospecific contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA Aim: To prospectively compare contrast properties of extracelullar (gadobutrol) and hepatospecific (gadoxetic acid) contrast agents in upper abdominal MRI studies. To prospectively evaluate the possibilities of detection and characterization of hepatocellular liver lesions by means of MRI using hepatospecific contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA. Materials and methods: Standardized (0,1 ml/kg) dose of gadobutrol (56 subjects) and gadoxetic acid (51 subjects) was administered intravenously by MRI-compatible injector at 2 ml/s, followed by 20 ml saline flush. MR signal intensity changes (SIC) between precontrast scans and arterial phase, portal venous phase, equilibrium, and delayed scans at 10 and 20 minutes were measured in abdominal aorta, portal vein, common bile duct, liver, and spleen. Mean SIC values for gadobutrol and gadoxetic acid were compared by a two-sample t-test with p-value < 0,05 considered significant. A total of 78 subjects with known arterial hypervascularized liver lesion (other than haemangioma) were examined on MRI with administration of liver specific contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA. All studies were performed before and after contrast agent injection in arterial, portal...
Non-invasive vascular imaging of cardiopulmonary thoracic vessels
Weichet, Jiří ; Kreuzberg, Boris (advisor) ; Lisý, Jiří (referee) ; Žižka, Jan (referee)
Methods of non-invasive vascular imaging of thoracic vessels are briefly introducted in the first part of the thesis. Benefits and limitations of CT angiography and MR angiography of the thoracic aorta, pulmonary vessels, great thoracic veins and cardiac vessels are discussed. The main part of the thesis is concerning to pulmonary veins imaging in cohort of patients with atrial fibrilation, who underwent radiofrequency ablation of the pulmonary veins. Aim of the study was to confirm the CT angiography as suitable method of pulmonary veins imaging, to find out frequency of atypical pulmonary veins anatomic arrangement and to measure pulmonary veins diameter in our cohort, including comparison between both sexes. The main purpose of the study was to compare the diameter of pumonary veins before and after the radiofrequency ablation and discover frequency and severity of iatrogenic pulmonary vein stenoses after the procedure. The group of patients planned for biventricular stimulation implantation is presented finally. CT angiography of coronary sinus and his branches was performed before the procedure. Aim of this work was to evaluate whether the CT angiography is proper method for cardiac venous system visualisation and wheather is it possible to choose patients suitable for implantation of left ventricle...

St. Prokop's Church at Záboří nad Labem
Vaníček, Michal ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Žižka, Jan (referee)
6 Abstract The Church of St. Prokop at Záboří nad Labem is one of the most important and also the most remarkable mediaeval religious monuments in the Czech Republic. What is exceptional above all is the type of church, i.e. a Romanesque chapel, another example of which cannot be found in its form in our country. Equally important is the extremely high- quality sculptural decoration of the church portal, with a level of execution achieved by European standards, and which is also set in an originally open Romanesque hall, also unmatched in our country. Since the first professional research undertaken by Jan Erazim Wocel more than one hundred seventy years ago, numerous studies and articles have been written, that each successive generation of historians and art historians has enriched by a variety of hypotheses and propositions about the origin of the church and its artistic programme. A number of inaccuracies and assumptions that succeeded refute the systematic processing of written historical sources and building-historical sources, which were managed to be obtained during the repair of the church in the first decade of this century. Nonetheless there still remain a number of open questions which we are not able to answer. The Romanesque church at Záboří nad Labem was built probably around the year 1142,...
