Influence of sugar consumption on children`s obesity and other comorbidities

Consumption of sugar, sugar-containing food and drinks, related health risks and change of life style in our population are currently addressed issues with negative consequences already observed in childhood. The aim of the diploma thesis was to study the consumption of sugar and foods containing sugar in children attending kindergarten and 1st grade of elementary school. The theoretical part was focused on an overview of knowledge about sugars, both naturally occurring and added, and health risks associated with frequent consumption of foods containing added sugars. In the practical part, the consumption of these foods in terms of quantity and various forms and its influence on the development of childhood obesity and other metabolic diseases was monitored. At the same time, other aspects of children's lifestyle that could determine children's obesity were identified. The basis of the practical part was a questionnaire survey using questions determining eating habits of children. The research showed a relationship between the BMI of children above the 75th percentile and more frequent sweets consumption and less frequent active (sports) and natural physical activities. Probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics - are they really effective?

Probiotics and prebiotics constitute an important part of our nutrition and possess many positive effects on human organism. Synbiotics represent combination of both of them. The aim of the theses in the theoretical aspect was to create a systematic review of available knowledge on the given topics and in the practical part to assess the level of awareness on these topics with regard to their presence and effects. In the practical part of the theses the questionnaire survey methodology was used. After evaluation of all answers it was found out that most people are familiar with the term probiotics, less people with the term prebiotics and the least respondents with the term synbiotics. Fermented dairy products are consumed by 88,3 % of respondents, mostly 2-3 times a week. The rest not consuming them indicated mostly the reasons of bad flavour or some form of intolerance. The respondents know also other fermented foods (sauerkraut, vegetables), however, these are less consumed than fermented dairy products. The least often the food supplements containing these substances are consumed. Analysis of staffing employees in the company VIGOUR a.s.

Master's thesis deals with theoretical analysis of tools and methods for staffing employees. It also describes the use of these methods in practice. For this purpose was chosen the company Vigour, which employs specialists working in the field of information technology. The presented methods and tools used in practice are confronted with the described theoretical knowledge and the results of the survey. This was done within the company at two levels - between employees and managers. The aim of confrontation is to identify weaknesses, including proposals for mitigation or elimination.
Analýza systému zaměstnaneckých výhod v podniku Vigour a.s.

Cílem této práce je zanalyzovat systém zaměstnaneckých výhod v podniku Vigour a.s. V první části je rozebrán obecný systém odměňování, jeho složky, cíle a zásady. Dále jsou zde řešeny zaměstnanecké výhody obecně. Druhá část se zabývá konkrétním podnikem a jeho zaměstnaneckými výhodami. Pomocí dotazníkového šetření provedeného v podniku je zanalyzován systém výhod. Závěrem práce je celkové zhodnocení situace podniku v této problematice.
