Optimization of parking spaces for buses and trucks

Main focus of diploma thesis is optimalization of dimensions stated in parking norm ČSN 73 6056 Parking areas for road vehicles. Goal of the thesis was to optimalize dimensions stated in norm from 2011, eventually come up with a new type of parking space. Thesis is based on recherche, which was done on both previous and actual Czech norms as well as on foreign norms. Change in dimension was possible due to evaluation of swept paths of the individual parking slots. New suggested dimensions are stated in the conclusion.

Uherské Hradiště - North bypass study

This bachelor thesis is a study of northeast bypass of Uherské Hradiště. This town is located in district Uherské Hradiště, Zlínský kraj. This bypass is projected as road category S9.5/80 and connects to roundabout next to slip road which leads to highway D55. The bypass is designated in three different variants, which are compared and one of them is elaborated in more detail. Goal of this thesis is to prepare foundation for change of zoning and traffic improvement in Uherské Hradiště a Staré Město.

Possible Sources for Municipal Investment's Financing

Diploma thesis mainly deals with the identification of possible ways of financing investment project in the community, and selection of the best solution. In the first theoretical part I’ve dealt with important concepts related to the topic of the thesis, eg. public administration in the Czech Republic, the budgets of autonomous units, the EU, its regional policy and others. In the second part I have dealt with practical aspects of the thesis – the characteristics of a particular city investment and possible ways of financing – loans, grants and collections.

The bachelor´s thesis deals with construction project planning and explains basic concepts related to this area. In the practical part are solved time and financial plans for the reconstruction of the Congress Centre in Staré Město. The aim of this thesis is to assess the suitability of each project management program for the construction order.

Tolerance limits

This bachelor's thesis deals with tolerance intervals, a statistical tool used to quan- tify the uncertainty of statistical predictions. The introductory part of the text briefly recalls confidence intervals. The thesis then focuses on prediction intervals, which are an intermediate step between confidence intervals and tolerance intervals. Specifically, the prediction interval for normal distribution and nonparametric prediction interval are analyzed. The main part of the thesis then deals with tolerance intervals - the definition, construction of both parametric and nonparametric tolerance intervals, convergence, and actual coverage of the derived intervals. In the final part, an example of the practical application of this tool is presented. 1
