Composition of Municipal Waste
Straka, David ; Musilová, Petra (referee) ; Elbl, Patrik (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the composition of municipal and mixed municipal waste. Introduction of the research part deals with the composition and properties of waste. In the next section, the waste is considered as fuel and compared with conventional solid fuels. The conculusion of the research part is devoted to the research of the waste composition from selected incinerators adn foreign countries. The compulational part of the thesis deals with the determation of energy properties of the waste.
A Tool for Post-Mortem Debugging
Kapičák, Peter ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this work is checking specific properties in trace which program should meet or which it shouldn't meet. Properties and their description are basis of this tool for post-mortem debbuging. Properties are transformed to deterministic finite automaton for checking in trace and their description is important for searching events in trace. Events are pass to automaton as input. Output of a tool is report if properties are meet or not. Solution provides check of properties regardless of log format and shows events that preceded violation of the properties.
Mastic Asphalts
Škorík, Michal ; Dašek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis aims to closely showcase the knowledge of mastic asphalt. The theoretical part describes history, consistency of the mixture, production process and technique of application including the newest trends. The practical part includes the assessment of bulk density altogether with the functional tests of stiffness modulus and the resistance to low temperatures for the sample of mastic asphalt with polymer modified asphalt.
Monitoring the influence of concrete composition on abrasion resistance
Černá, Hana ; Novosad, Petr (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the resistance of concrete to abrasion with regard to the raw materials used for their production. In the theoretical part of the thesis are described admixtures, different types of aggregate and aggregate composition which influence the resistance of concrete to abrasion. In the experimental part, 15 different C30 / 37, S4 concrete formulations were proposed. Different types of aggregates - fecal gravel (Žabčice), biotic granodiorite (Olbramovice) and amphibolite (Želešice) have always been used in the recipes. Fine ground limestone, micro-silica, high-temperature fly ash and finely ground slag were ingredients that were added to the proposed recipes. Consistency was determined by the method of cone seating and the density of fresh concrete. In the hardened state, concrete density, compressive strength, bending tensile strength, tensile strength, watertightness, concrete absorption, and abrasion resistance were determined using the Böhm method and wide wheel method. The test specimens were tested after 7, 28, and 90 days of maturation.
Properties of Mortars with Dolomitic Lime
Dořičáková, Michaela ; Vyšvařil, Martin (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (advisor)
Bachelor thesis examinesthecharacteristics and formationof solid structures in mortarswithdolomitic lime. Thefirst part ofthis thesis focuses on thehistory, production and propertiesofdolomitic lime. The second part isan experiment whichisfocuses oncomparingthepropertiesofmortarswithwhite and dolomitic lime.
Casting of manganese steels and their use
Dufka, Martin ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pernica, Vítězslav (advisor)
Austenitic manganese steel, often referred as Hadfield´s steel after its discoverer, has an irreplaceable place in foundry due to its specific properties. Due to local pressures and shocks, surface of castings is hardened, but the cast core retains its toughness. Thus, manganese steel is used for castings of highly stressed machine parts that are subject to abrasive wear. This bachelor thesis is concerned about methods of production, chemical composition, influence of some alloying elements on properties and structure of steel, heat treatment, material properties, reinforcement mechanisms and types of individual deformation reinforcements. Further attention is paid to the most frequent use of manganese castings in practice.
Numerical simulation of mechanical properties of cast irons
Haluza, Jakub ; Bouška, Ondřej (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (advisor)
Diploma thesis in the first part deals with the production, properties and application of compacted graphite iron. After then calculation model which is used in ProCAST software for the predicting mechanical and structural properties of compacted graphite iron is presented and differences between versions 2010 and 2011 are shown. The last part of the thesis deals with simulation of mechanical and structural properties on the test specimen and real casting, which is poured in Heunisch foundry Ltd. and results of the simulation and measured values are compared.
Cermets and theirs effective use
Hanousek, Petr ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This thesis deals with cermets as a tool material. In the Preamble, the types, production, labeling and properties of cermets are analyzed. The main part of the thesis introduces cermets in the range of manufacturing by the world leading producers of tools and tool materials. The Conclusion of the thesis summarizes the evaluation of tool cutting abilities and recommended working conditions guaranteeing the efficient use of cermets.
Properties of anaerobic sewage sludge from small producers
Pospíšil, Jaroslav ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (referee) ; Hyánková, Eva (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with today's wastewater treatment from small producers and characteristics of primary sludge. Work is focused on natural ways of wastewater treatment. The main attention is devoted to the primary sludge. In the next section are based on laboratory tests, where samples are tested properties. There is tested the primary sludge from the mechanical pre-treatment, and namely from the sedimentation tank.
Targeted Preparation of Composite Based on PP with Inorganic Micro-, or Nanofiller with Different Adhesive Interlayer
Dombková, Julie ; Krčma, František (referee) ; Nezbedová, Eva (advisor)
The diploma thesis studies composite of PP and filler particle. As a particle filler was used commercially available CaCO3 (SOCAL 31). The submitted thesis had a goal to find new approaches and technologies of filler surface treatment in order to improve properties of composite materials. The plasma discharge behind static pressure was used for the surface treatment of the fillers. These fillers were afterwards analyzed by using of sedimentation analysis, turbidimetry, infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scan electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy and particle size distribution by laser diffraction. The composites with various volume parts of the fillers were prepared in PIB and studied by short-time tests. Furthermore, the influence of an adhesive layer on fracture mechanical properties of prepared composite was study. Regarding to experimental demand, there was not possible to realize long-term mechanical properties.
