Work-Life balance among cardiologists and cardiac surgeons

This thesis deals with the work-life balance issues encountered by cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. The main objective of this study was to find out on how these young doctors in cardiology specialization training combine their work and other areas of their lives that they consider important and draw attention to the problems of being junior doctors with a vision to use the obtained results to improve their conditions both for work and for quality of life. Qualitative research techniques were utilized and data were obtained from semi-structured interviews with our respondents. The theoretical part of this thesis presents the informations and concepts regarding balance between work versus private life concerning their interdependencies. It focuses both on professional and social aspects and their eventual conflict. Partly, it maps motivation: motivators (motives and aspirations), which led these young doctors in their lives and careers, as shared motives characterize the level of content and identification with professional roles and their professional aspirations. TITLE: The first two years of the beginning teacher AUTHOR: Iveta Fukalová DEPARTMENT: School Management Center SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jan Voda, PhD. ABSTRACT: This final thesis focuses on introducing the teachers-beginners to the teaching practice in the kindergartens. It is based on the requirements on a teacher-beginner, an introductory teacher and the headmaster of the school, their common goals and the ways of co-operation. It describes competences of the roles of both the teachers, conditions for the adjustment to the new environment, the way of communication and a social role in the working team of the kindergarten. It concentrates on a various level of care devoted to the beginners, often inadequate and demotivating, on a positive attitude of the headmaster and selecting the convenient introductory teacher. In the practical part of the thesis, results of a survey are introduced. The survey focuses on the ideas of teachers-beginners, the feedback of experienced teachers and the views of headmasters on the given problem. Effects of working conditions on work activity and job satisfaction in employees

This bachelor thesis deals with working conditions and its effect on job satisfaction of employees in open offices. Theoretical part of this thesis describes particular working conditions, their risks and consequences. In addition the theoretical part dedicates the working activity and its standards and evaluation. Last theme is about job satisfaction and its effect on working behavior of employees. The practical part is made into qualitative case study of specific organisation in the Czech Republic. First a questionnaire survey in the company was performed and then interviews with selected employees were made.
The influence of the work environment on employee motivation

My thesis has dealt with the topic of impact of work environment on employee motivation in the selected company and its aim was to briefly literally introduce the issue of human resources and personnel management conditions, further to shed a light on the importance of ergonomics and the impact of working conditions on employees' motivation as well as their subsequent remuneration options. The methodology part includes the interviews with employees of the selected company, which were needed to determine primary information and follow-up survey, where the topic of the impact of working conditions on staff motivation and performance was specified. The outcome of the thesis is to propose innovative improvement measures leading to positive changes in the area of human resource management. This ought to result in the improvement of both the physical condition of workers and their satisfaction and motivation to administer the best possible job performance; not only currently, but even henceforth. All proposals for improving are processed with an approximate cost of the realization in case of potential interest, which has been significantly shown by company Unterer Ltd.

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. 3 The bachelor thesis Trends in working conditions is focused on current tendencies in the area of working conditions, especially on the trend of democratization in organizations. The thesis analyzes this phenomenon, because it has not been described in association with working conditions enough. The main goal is to ascertain the reasons of growth of this phenomenon, its essence and the way it is realized. The reasons and the context of the formation and the growth are desribed according to surveys in a field of working satisfaction and can be also found in theories of working motivation. The essence is explained according to the authorities in this field. The emphasis is on the relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. Every aspect of working conditions is described in detail, especially focused on the trends of democratization. The analysis is based on the examples of realization in real organizations. These examples can be found in whole thesis, related to the currently discussed topics. In general, the thesis strives for widening of existing knowledge with complex analysis of relationship between democratization in organizations and the working conditions. Special working conditions of women

The issue of employment of women in today's society and their position in labor relations is for me, as a wife and mother, very close. Obtaining the appropriate awareness of rights that current legislation provides is in the interest of every woman. For this reason I chose for this doctoral work theme called 'Specific working conditions of women'. The aim of this work was to survey and evaluate current legislature about special working conditions for women, which is the focus of the whole work. The main theme - special working conditions of women cannot be held in isolation. Firstly I discussed about the status of women in society and in labor relations and also about the question of equality between men and women. The focus of this work is discussion about the current applicable legislation and also taking into account the necessary requirements and international legal obligations arising out of the Czech Republic's membership in the European Union, including some important judgments of the ECJ. The theme of the Special working conditions for women, which also contents the issues about maternal and parental holiday in order to ensure appropriate care for children, is closely related to the regulation of social security for workers in this period and also the possibility of provision of care for...
