Thermodynamic cycles used in power engineering
Suchomel, Josef ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
Power engineering is one of the most important parts of industry. Among other things, it deals with production of electricity, without which many of us can no longer even imagine life. All energy devices can be described on the basis of different thermodynamic cycles. And with these thermodynamic cycles this thesis deals. It lists both, the most important cycles, such as Rankin Clausius cycle, which is the basic cycle of most of the power plants, as well as less known, resp. almost new thermodynamic cycles. The emphasis of the whole work is also focused on the advantages and limitations of the stated cycles and on their application in practise, too.
Determination of the Impact of Krnov Bypass on Prices of Detached Houses in its Close Proximity and the Effect of Traffic Diversion on Detached House Prices
Suchomel, Jan ; Vitovská, Lucie (referee) ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (advisor)
The Master’s thesis „Determination of the Impact of Krnov Bypass on Prices of Detached Houses in its Close Proximity and the Effect of Traffic Diversion on Detached House Prices“ has as one’s task a determination of the influences of a by-pass road on the prices of family houses. In pursuance of this task it has been used several kinds of the valuation methods, as for example the cost approach according to the price order, the comparative method according to the price order and the comparative method Standard unit market price (non-promulgation). In the conclusion of the Master’s thesis there is a separate determination of the influence of the by-pass road on the prices of the family houses, which are located in its neighbourhood and the impact of a deflection on the prices of the family houses in Krnov city centre.
Comparative analysis of the communication strategies in chosen media of candidates for the presidential elections in 2023 in the second round
Suchomel, Jakub ; Zima, Michal (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
In this thesis, a comparative analysis of the communication strategies of the presidential candidates in the 2023 elections Ing. Andrej Babiš and arm. gen. v.v. Ing. Petr Pavel, M.A. is carried out. The work starts with a description of the election process. The AMI Digital Index 2022, which is a survey in the field of social networks, is presented. In the next chapter, the theoretical framework of the work is presented, starting with the characteristics of the examinated media. The following is a brief description of the course of presidential elections in the past. Then the process of data collection is described and the method of social network analysis is presented. The following are individual analyses of social networks. First, six analyses of Andrej Babiš's communication are presented, as well as Petr Pavel's. This is followed by a description of the most symbolic themes of the individual campaigns. The next part is devoted to the characteristics of the analysis of pre-election debates, and then the analyses themselves and their comparison are discussed. Before the very conclusion, the candidates' post-election communication processes are briefly described. The last part of the thesis is the conclusion, which contains the results of qualitative comparison and comparison of individual...
Population genetics of grey wolf in Western Carpathians
Veselovská, Lenka ; Hulva, Pavel (advisor) ; Suchomel, Josef (referee)
The grey wolf is a top predator that plays a keystone role in maintaining the ecological balance of forested habitats. This master thesis focuses on the population structure and demography of the grey wolves in Slovakia, using data collected over two winter seasons between 2017 and 2019. Special attention is directed to the Western Carpathians. In Slovakia, the range of the wolf may cover up to 60% of the whole area. The population size and structure of grey wolves are influenced by both natural factors, such as mountain ranges isolation and dispersal, and anthropogenic influences, such as population fragmentation caused by linear infrastructure and increased mortality from traffic collisions. Additionally, the annual culling quotas for grey wolves have had an impact on their populations until recently. Mainly a non-invasive genetics approach utilizing selected 10 nuclear microsatellite markers, a marker for sex detection and mitochondrial sequences was used. Firstly, the species determination was verified and data quality filtering was carried out under statistical control. The sex ratio of the examined sample was 1:1,3. Mitochondrial data were assigned to haplotypes to help infer population origin. Bayesian clustering analysis of microsatellite data using the STRUCTURE program was used to...

History of Czech railway press after 1989
Suchomel, Jiří ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Jirků, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis "The History of Czech Railway Press after 1989" provides a comprehensive picture of the Czech media landscape formed by the railway press. The development of the railway press reflects not only the changes in the industry but also the changes in the Czech society as a whole. For this purpose, the text also mentions the period before 1989 in order to set the modern history in its historical context. The thesis points out the continuity across publications and divides them into several categories. The thesis also explores the level of editorial independence of the researched periodicals. In this respect, the text is rather an overview -- a mix of compilation and comparison that reveals a potential for further study in a more analytical way. Despite the railway being a relatively specific environment the presented concepts can be applied in other fields.

Exhaustion of rights in the copyright, especially in relation to the computer programs
Suchomel, Jakub ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to provide an overview of the development, concept and rules of the exhaustion doctrine on the international and EU level. The issue of the exhaustion doctrine and its application in a digital age became topical after the unexpected judgement of the CJEU in case UsedSoft v Oracle, in which was for the first time broken the conventional link between the exhaustion doctrine and the distribution of works in a tangible form. Although this decision has been widely criticized by legal experts, some thoughts of CJEU highlight imperfection of current legal regulation in a context of an internet age. The first chapter defines basic terms the intellectual property and the copyright including its historical evolution. The second chapter describes the origins of the exhaustion doctrine in the judicature of the national courts as a clue for balancing ownership and intellectual property rights. The extensive third chapter deals with formation of the exhaustion doctrine in judicature of the CJEU. Concrete cases are used to describe basic elements of the exhaustion doctrine. In the fourth chapter is a brief overview of the legal regulation concerning the exhaustion of copyright on the international, EU and Czech level. The next chapter describes an adaptation of the copyright to...
