Choice of teaching profession through the eyes of teachers
Beránková, Kateřina ; Blažková, Veronika (advisor) ; Richterová, Magdalena (referee)
As the title suggests, this bachelor's thesis is devoted to the choice of a teaching profession. It aims to find out why people decide to become teachers, what leads them to this decision and whether they regret their decision. Three research questions are set out and answers are sought through a research investigation. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part attempts to give the reader an insight into the issue and describes the starting points that are crucial for the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the research investigation. A qualitative approach was chosen, specifically the in-depth interview method. A total of six interviews were conducted with current teachers. Based on the data obtained from the interviews, the research questions were answered. The results of the research investigation are quite clear. Teachers do not perceive their profession as prestigious. They see room for improvement mainly in financial evaluation and the view of the public. Despite the perception that their profession is not prestigious, teachers are satisfied with their career. What they value most about their profession is the contact with people/children, which they cite as the most important motive that led them to teaching. For half of the respondents,...

A balance sheet, a profit and loss statement and notes to the financial statements are part of the financial statements. Based on the results found, recommendations were made to the analysed company in the are of inventory, taxes and publication of financial statements.
Elements of Promissory Note
Beránková, Kateřina ; Liška, Petr (advisor) ; Zahradníčková, Marie (referee)
Elements of Promissory Note Abstract The rigorous thesis is dealing with the matter of elements of a promissory note, the thesis goes through particular elements in detail and explains how to include them on the promissory note so that the note is a valid security. Alongside the examples of writing elements of a promissory note that cause nullity of promissory note are given, which come from decision-making process of the courts. The elements of promissory note are analysed one by one depending on division to obligatory elements, facultative elements and subsidiary elements. The thesis primarily works with judicial decisions which are the main source of knowledge in this thesis. The rigorous thesis is apart from introduction and conclusion divided into seven chapters. The largest part of description and analysis is dedicated to obligatory elements of promissory note and to facultative elements enumerated in article I. s. 75 of Bill of Exchange and Cheque Act, which are the most common for the promissory note. First chapter focuses on term of promissory note, its substance, characteristics and general definition of elements of promissory note. Second chapter analyses substantial elements of promissory note which are clause of promissory note, unconditional promise to pay certain amount of money, name of...

Characterization of excretory-secretory proteins of liver fluke Fascioloides magna.
Beránková, Kateřina ; Kašný, Martin (advisor) ; Horn, Martin (referee)
Fascioloides magna (the giant liver fluke) originated from North America, is known in the Czech Republic since 1930s. This pathogenic fluke invades mostly cervids, but livestock too. Excretory-secretory products (ES products) contain number of esential biomolecules which are produced by excretory and secretory system of the fluke. These molecules play key role in many biological process during the life cycle not only of fascioloid flukes (e.g. migration in the host tissues, immune evasion and digestion). Due to their antigenic properties they could be also used in immunodiagnostics. Excretory-secretory proteins from adult Fascioloides magna and comparative related species Fasciola hepatica were purified and separated by the basic biochemical methods (1D, 2D electrophoresis, ion-exchange chromatography) and their activity was confirmed by specific (fluorogenic peptide) and nonspecific (gelatine) substrates. By using the mass spectrometry methods (MALDI TOF/TOF), the most abundant peptidolytically active proteins from ES products of F. magna were identified as cathepsin L (FmCL). Recombinant analog of FmCL was expressed in Pichia pastoris expression system. The peptidolytic activity was again confirmed using the synthetic fluorogenic substrates; the specifity of recombinant FmCL active site was...
Fluctuation of Earth's magnetic field and its influence on dogs
Beránková, Kateřina ; Nováková, Petra (advisor) ; Mrkvičková Kořanová, Diana (referee)
Fluctuation of Earth's magnetic field and its influence on dogs Kateřina Beránková The aim of the bachelor thesis was monitoring and documenting the orientation selected breeds of dogs when feeding, depending on fluctuation of the Earth's magnetic field. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with a summary of information about one of the three selected breeds of dogs (deutscher boxer), that was just like the rest of breeds used as a model animal for the practical part. In the next part is introduced magnetoreception, therefore, the ability of animals to perceive the Earth's magnetic field and its hypothetical models of functioning. There is also described magnetic orientation and its other forms which are magnetic map, magnetic compass and magnetic alignment, which is spontaneous orientation of the body axis of the animal in certain direction, for example, in the North-South axis by influence of the Earth's magnetic field. The practical part of the thesis mainly deals with exploring the influence of the Earth's magnetic field on the orientation of the head and of the body axis, when dogs are feeding. Selected breeds of dogs were Deutscher boxer, Bernese mountain dog, Chodsky dog and hybrid of Labrador retriever and Siberian husky. Statistical analysis showed North-South direction preference only in the case of the breed Chodsky dog. For other breeds of dogs, East-West orientation was dominated.
